Asian Paints announced a total dividend of ₹27.50 per equity share for FY2025-26: a ₹4.50 interim dividend and a ₹23 final dividend recommended by the board, subject to shareholder approval. The published record date for the final dividend was 23 June 2026, and the company said payment would be made on or after 13 July 2026 if approved. Both dates have passed.
What was the Asian Paints dividend for FY2025-26?
Asian Paints Limited announced ₹27.50 per equity share for the financial year ended 31 March 2026, counting the ₹4.50 interim dividend approved in November 2025 and the ₹23 final dividend recommended by the board. The final amount was not described as unconditional: the company’s results notice made it subject to shareholder approval at its 80th Annual General Meeting.

What were the record date and payment schedule?
Asian Paints fixed 23 June 2026 as the record date for determining entitlement to the FY2025-26 final dividend. NSE’s corporate-action listing also gives 23 June 2026 as the ex-date and record date for the ₹23 dividend. This is the published schedule, not a future date to qualify for the payout. A person’s entitlement depends on the company and depository records applicable to the corporate action; the dates alone do not establish an individual’s eligibility.

The company’s FY2024-25 Board’s Report also reported a 60% payout of standalone profits for FY2024-25 and FY2023-24. That is a historical company-reported ratio, not a prediction of future dividends. A higher or lower past payout does not guarantee a future payment or an investment return.
Is the “9.2 lakh retail investors” figure confirmed?
The official company materials cited here do not establish that 9.2 lakh retail investors currently hold Asian Paints shares. The figure should therefore not be treated as a verified or current shareholder count. How are Asian Paints dividends taxed?
Asian Paints says dividend income is taxable in shareholders’ hands and that the company deducts tax at source at prescribed rates.
