Dried flowers can give wedding bouquets and décor lasting texture, sculptural shapes and a considered palette. Choose an all-dried arrangement for a cohesive muted look, or mix dried grasses and foliage with fresh focal blooms. They are a style option—not a proven universal trend—and the right choice depends on your design, venue and how the flowers will be handled.
Where dried flowers work in a wedding
Dried and pressed flowers can be used in bridal bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony décor and hanging installations. Examples documented by The Knot range from neutral bouquets with hydrangeas, roses, banksia, bunny tails and fan palms to rustic combinations of lavender, chamomile and wheat. Lunaria can add papery, translucent shapes, while seed pods such as scabiosa, lotus and poppy bring stronger forms.
For reception or ceremony spaces, dried foliage and grasses can adapt hanging floral installations. A Toronto-area flower farm also describes unstructured garden arrangements and designs combining fresh roses or ranunculus with dried grasses or preserved foliage. That is a regional vendor’s perspective, not evidence of a broader market trend; see the farm’s examples.

Specific materials are starting points, not a guaranteed shopping list. Pampas grass, bunny tails, lunaria, sea oats, lavender, chamomile, wheat and seed pods appear in wedding examples, but their availability, color and durability vary by supplier and season. Ask your florist to confirm what can be sourced and how it will look in your chosen palette.

Plan around the venue and handling
Dried flowers are not immune to environmental conditions. A supplier care guide identifies humidity and strong wind as challenges for outdoor weddings. If your event is outdoors, discuss placement and exposure with your florist rather than assuming every dried stem will hold up equally well.
- Store dried bouquets in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, which can fade color.
- Keep delicate arrangements from being crushed. A wedding guide recommends storing the bouquet in a box before the event and handling it gently.
- Ask the florist how the bouquet should be transported and when it should be brought to the venue.
Source flowers and plan for keepsakes
Ready-made dried wedding bouquets and bulk dried stems for DIY arrangements are relevant product categories, but the cited examples do not establish current stock, prices or quality. Check individual listings before ordering. A florist or local flower farm may help coordinate materials and any fresh elements; confirm local availability, shipping and palette options directly with the vendor. The Toronto/Ontario farm cited above is a regional source, not a nationwide supplier.

If you want a post-wedding keepsake, ask the preservation provider about the exact process before ordering flowers or assuming it will accept an already-dried bouquet. Bonnie’s Blooms says its traditional pressing service cannot accept flowers that have already been dried because they may break during pressing; it also says that this process requires flowers within four days of the wedding. That is the provider’s policy for its traditional pressing service, not a rule for every preservation method. Providers may offer other options: DBANDREA lists pressed floral art, resin keepsakes and shadow boxes, and identifies itself as the Official Flower Preservation Partner of Miss America. Confirm services and availability directly with each provider.
