Puedes hacer una corona de flores para el pelo con flores frescas, secas o preservadas, o artificiales. La elección depende sobre todo de cuándo la usarás y de si prefieres flores vivas, una pieza delicada para conservar o una corona que puedas preparar con antelación y reutilizar.
Qué método elegir

Para cualquiera de las tres opciones, prepara una base que se sujete sin apretar. Si usas alambre, mide el contorno de la cabeza y añade cerca de 5 cm para formar el aro; es la medida orientativa que propone MAPFRE Hogar.

Materiales básicos
- Alambre floral fino pero resistente y cinta floral verde para formar y cubrir la base.
- Tijeras; unos alicates pueden ayudar a cortar el alambre.
- Flores y follaje adecuados al método elegido.
- Hilo o alambre fino para sujetar flores frescas o tallos artificiales.
- Pegamento caliente para flores artificiales sin tallo aprovechable; para flores secas, utiliza pegamento y aplica poca presión.
1. Cómo hacer una corona con flores frescas
Forma y forra la base
- Mide el contorno de la cabeza y añade aproximadamente 5 cm para poder formar el aro.
- Dobla el alambre hasta hacer un círculo resistente. Si hace falta, refuérzalo con vueltas adicionales y cubre la estructura con cinta floral verde.
- Antes de cerrar o decorar los extremos, comprueba que la base se ajuste y no apriete.
Prepara y fija las flores
- Corta las flores dejando tallos cortos. Forma ramilletes pequeños con algo de follaje, o prepara las flores por separado.
- Fija cada ramillete a la base con cinta floral, hilo o alambre fino. Colócalos siguiendo una misma dirección para que un ramillete cubra los tallos del anterior. También puedes sujetar las flores una a una a la altura del tallo.
- Revisa la corona puesta antes de dar por terminado el montaje.
Para una celebración, Bourguignon Floristas recomienda prepararla la tarde anterior y guardarla en el refrigerador durante la noche, idealmente dentro de una bolsa especial para congelar. Es una recomendación de esa floristería, no una garantía de conservación: el resultado puede variar según las flores y las condiciones.

2. Cómo hacer una corona con flores secas o preservadas
Elige flores y follaje ligeros y comprueba que estén completamente secos o preservados. Puedes probar una composición con hierba de avena u hortensias preservadas. Como ejemplos de flores y follaje que pueden secarse bien, la Orden Franciscana Seglar en México menciona gypsophila, statice, siempreviva, craspedia, santolina, trigo y eucalipto; son posibilidades, no una lista exclusiva.
- Prepara una base cubierta con cinta floral, como en el método de flores frescas.
- Distribuye las piezas sobre la base y ajusta el diseño antes de fijarlas.
- Pega las flores y el follaje con cuidado. Las flores secas pueden romperse al atarlas, por lo que MAPFRE Hogar recomienda pegamento para unirlas a la base.
Trabaja con poca presión y deja que el pegamento se asiente antes de manipular la corona.

3. Cómo hacer una corona con flores artificiales
Usa flores artificiales pequeñas y una base de alambre forrada. El método de fijación depende de si las flores conservan un tallo útil.

Si las flores tienen tallo o alambre
- Coloca cada flor sobre la base y enrolla su tallo o alambre alrededor del aro.
- Orienta las flores en la misma dirección y distribúyelas hasta cubrir la zona deseada.
- Comprueba que no queden puntas de alambre expuestas.
Si las flores no tienen un tallo aprovechable
- Corta la flor de su soporte si lo necesita.
- Pega cada flor directamente al aro con silicona caliente. También puedes cubrir la base con cinta decorativa o usar una base trenzada.
- Deja enfriar el pegamento por completo antes de probarte la corona.

Antes de terminar
- Prueba el aro antes de fijar toda la decoración; debe quedar sujeto sin apretar.
- En las coronas de flores frescas, mantén una dirección constante al colocar los ramilletes para ocultar los tallos.
- En las de flores secas, evita apretar o atar con fuerza las piezas frágiles.
- En las artificiales, tapa o elimina las puntas de alambre y espera a que la silicona se enfríe antes de ponerte la corona.
