Find free fall wallpapers for iPhone in seasonal collections from Unsplash and Pexels, then download an original image and preview its crop on your device. Choose a vertical or crop-friendly scene with uncluttered space near the clock or app icons, and check the image source’s terms before using it beyond personal wallpaper use.
There is no single “4K” size that fits every iPhone without cropping. Compare the scene, composition, and available download options, then use Apple’s wallpaper controls to set one image on both screens or customize the Home Screen separately.
Quick comparison: where to find fall wallpapers for iPhone
| Source | What it offers | Best starting point for | Terms to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unsplash fall wallpapers | A curated fall wallpaper collection described by Unsplash as free, high-resolution photos | Seasonal fall photography | Unsplash’s current terms for your intended use |
| Unsplash fall wallpapers collection | A collection described as free HD images for iPhone and other screens | Autumn-themed images | Unsplash’s current terms for your intended use |
| Unsplash iPhone wallpapers | A broad phone-oriented wallpaper collection | Browsing images for phone screens | Unsplash’s current terms for your intended use |
| Pexels wallpaper collection | Free HD and 4K wallpapers for phones and other devices; its discovery page includes autumn wallpaper | Searching across seasonal wallpaper styles | The Pexels license and any applicable terms |
These collections are starting points, not independently tested rankings. Collection contents can change, and a platform’s general description does not establish that every image is optimized for every iPhone.
Choose a fall wallpaper style
| Style | What to look for | Where it may work well |
|---|---|---|
| Colorful leaves | A crop that keeps the foliage clear, with open space near the clock | Lock Screen or a textured Home Screen |
| Woodland scene | A visible focal point and enough room around the main subject | Lock Screen landscape |
| Pumpkin or harvest | A subject that remains visible after the portrait crop | Seasonal Lock Screen |
| Minimalist autumn tones | Quiet areas and contrast that keep icons readable | Home Screen |
Color and subject are matters of taste. More important in practice is how the image looks after the iPhone wallpaper preview crops or scales it, and whether the clock, widgets, or app icons remain easy to see.

How to choose an image that fits
- Start with the original image. Download from the image page where possible rather than saving a search thumbnail or an unverified repost.
- Check the frame and subject. A vertical or crop-friendly image can need less adjustment. Look for space around the main subject so it does not disappear at the screen edges.
- Preview the Lock Screen crop. Check whether the clock and widgets overlap the subject or land on a busy part of the image.
- Check Home Screen readability. If icons are hard to distinguish, try a simpler image or customize the Home Screen separately.
- Review usage terms. Follow the current terms for the specific source and intended use, especially if you plan to do more than use the image as personal wallpaper.
What “HD” and “4K” mean for iPhone wallpapers
“HD” and “4K” are labels used on wallpaper sources; they do not promise that every file has identical pixel dimensions or will match every iPhone display without cropping. Check the download options on the image page and assess the result in the iPhone wallpaper preview. The reviewed sources do not establish a universal pixel size for every iPhone model.
How to set a fall wallpaper on iPhone
- Open Settings and tap Wallpaper.
- Tap Add New Wallpaper, then choose Photos to select the downloaded image.
- Adjust the wallpaper as desired and tap Add.
- Choose Set as Wallpaper Pair to use it on both screens, or tap Customize Home Screen to change the Home Screen separately.
Apple also documents opening the wallpaper gallery from the Lock Screen. Menu wording may vary by iOS version and region; see Apple’s wallpaper support instructions for current guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find free fall wallpapers for iPhone?
Unsplash has dedicated fall and autumn wallpaper collections and a broad iPhone wallpaper page. Pexels also offers a wallpaper collection whose discovery page includes autumn wallpaper. Check each source’s current terms.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Does a 4K wallpaper fit every iPhone?
No universal image size is established for every iPhone model. A file labeled “4K” may need cropping or scaling, so check its available download size and preview it on your device.
Rank #3
Can I use a different image on the Home Screen?
Yes. Apple’s wallpaper flow lets you choose Customize Home Screen rather than using the same wallpaper pair on both screens.
Are free wallpaper downloads automatically free to republish or sell?
No. A source’s description of images as free to download does not by itself establish permission to republish, sell, or redistribute them. Check the applicable source terms for your intended use.
