For compact detail-focused jobs, consider the ELEGOO Mars 5 Ultra; for a larger build area, compare the ELEGOO Saturn 4 Ultra and Anycubic Photon P1. The available specifications do not establish one printer as the best overall.

Resin printing also requires a plan for washing and curing prints, handling uncured resin, and following the safety directions for the exact material you use. Compare build volume and XY pixel dimensions, then check material compatibility and the complete workflow before buying.

How to choose
Match the build area to your parts
Compare the build dimensions with your largest planned object and the number of parts you want to arrange on the plate. A larger build area can accommodate larger jobs or batches, but does not by itself guarantee better prints or faster completed work.

Compare pixel dimensions, not just K ratings
“9K” and “12K” are display labels, not a complete measure of finished-part quality. Check XY pixel dimensions alongside the object size and detail you need. Calibration, resin, exposure settings, orientation, supports, and post-processing also affect the result. Manufacturer specifications alone do not prove that one model produces better prints.

Confirm that the resin is compatible with the printer and use settings for the exact printer-and-resin combination. Anycubic’s resin manual provides model- and resin-specific parameters. Do not assume that settings for one resin or printer will work for another.
Consider the whole workflow
Plan for resin, washing, curing, gloves, cleanup supplies, and appropriate handling of uncured material. Anycubic lists dedicated Wash & Cure machines, but a particular accessory is not mandatory for every buyer. Check that any equipment and cleaning method suit the resin you choose.

What to know about speed claims
Anycubic lists a Photon P1 speed claim of 25–35 mm/h at 0.05 mm layers with standard resin. That figure describes a specified condition, not a promise of real-world throughput for every print. Actual job time depends on settings, geometry, supports, and resin, and post-processing takes additional work.
Compare speed claims only when their layer heights, materials, settings, and measurement methods are comparable. The supplied research does not provide a controlled speed comparison among the Mars 5 Ultra, Saturn 4 Ultra, and Photon P1.

Resin handling and safety
Read the current safety data sheet (SDS) for the exact resin and follow its handling and protective-equipment directions. Prevent uncured resin from contacting skin, and handle contaminated materials and waste according to the product instructions and applicable local requirements. An enclosure or odor-filter claim is not proof that a room is safe.

ELEGOO’s cited standard photopolymer resin SDS is dated January 2024; it is not a substitute for the current SDS for another resin or a later formulation. Anycubic provides a resin manual and MSDS resource. Consult the documents that apply to the material you actually use.

Is 12K better than 9K for resin printing?
Not necessarily. Compare XY pixel dimensions and build volume, and consider resin, calibration, exposure, orientation, supports, and post-processing. A K rating alone does not establish which printer will make the better part for your use.
How fast is the Anycubic Photon P1?
Anycubic claims 25–35 mm/h with standard resin at 0.05 mm layers. Treat that as a manufacturer claim under the stated condition, not a guaranteed rate for every model or complete print-and-finish workflow.
What do I need besides a resin printer?
