Fabric and other materials
The pattern lists these materials. Its yardages and cutting instructions assume 42 inches of usable fabric width.
- Three ½-yard pieces of assorted white prints
- ½ yard of black print
- Twelve 18 × 21-inch assorted-print fat quarters in pink, teal, orange, blue, and green
- ⅜ yard of black tone-on-tone fabric for the inner border
- ⅝ yard of green floral fabric for the outer border
- ½ yard of teal floral fabric for binding
- Twelve 6½-inch assorted floral squares
- 3 yards of backing fabric
- 52 × 64-inch batting
The pictured fabrics are credited to the Sun Print 2021 collection by Alison Glass for Andover Fabrics. That credit identifies the fabrics shown; it does not establish current availability. If substituting, choose saturated prints that contrast clearly with black and white prints, and check the pattern’s cutting list against your fabric’s usable width.

How the blocks are constructed
The pattern makes 12 blocks using strip piecing, triangle-square units, corner units, and a square-in-a-square center. Follow its cutting and assembly instructions, using ¼-inch seam allowances. After assembling the blocks, arrange them in four rows with alternating blocks rotated 90 degrees, then sew on the borders.

Quilting and binding
Layer the quilt top, batting, and backing, then baste the layers together. Quilt as desired and finish by binding the quilt with the teal floral strips. The pattern page credits Handi Quilter Studio Educator Kim Sandberg with using a Pro-Stitcher and digital designs from Quiltable’s Mod Petals and Free-Motion Background Mixers collections for the illustrated machine quilting; these are an example, not requirements.
