It is also not a separate “Pro” edition. CapCut 4.6.0.1754 is a version number, not proof of a particular subscription entitlement.

Yes, the exact build is well supported by multiple software-version records. Appx4Fun, Neowin, and Install-Download all list CapCut 4.6.0.1754 as a Windows release:
- Appx4Fun’s listing identifies a Windows x64/Win32 executable and gives archive metadata, including the approximate file size.
- Neowin’s listing records the build and its reported changes.
- Install-Download’s archive record independently lists the same version.
That establishes that the version existed. It does not prove that every copy circulating online is authentic. A third-party page calling a file “official” is not the same as downloading it from CapCut or verifying its publisher signature.

AI features are often dependent on sign-in, region, account status, internet access, and server-side services. Installing an old client does not guarantee that its original AI backend remains available.
Layout presets and custom layouts
The reference to layouts in the “editor window” most likely concerns the arrangement of panels and workspace elements. It should not automatically be interpreted as a new video-collage or split-screen feature. The distinction matters: a workspace layout changes how the editor is arranged, while a canvas layout changes the exported video.
AI image inpainting

- “Listed by an archive as an official installer” means only that the archive makes that assertion.
- “Downloaded from CapCut’s official site” identifies a different chain of custody.
- “Digitally signed by the expected publisher” is evidence about the file’s signing certificate.
- “Matched a trusted SHA-256 hash” is stronger evidence only when the comparison hash comes from an independently trusted source.
Before running the installer:
- Check the filename and approximate size against the archive record.
- Right-click the file, choose Properties, open Digital Signatures, and inspect the signer and certificate status.
- Scan the file with current security software and, where appropriate, a reputable multi-engine service such as VirusTotal.
- Reject files that include a crack, loader, patcher, activation tool, watermark remover, or unexpected bundled installer.

Projects open with missing media
Missing files can result from moved source media, changed drive letters, a different Windows user, cloud-only assets, unavailable fonts, or removed effects. Restore the original folder structure and relink media from the project’s original location.
A newer project will not open
Do not assume backward compatibility. Test only a copy of the project. Keep the newer installation available until the old-build test succeeds, and export important timeline elements or a rendered master from the newer version where possible.

Features appear but do not work
AI, templates, music libraries, cloud assets, and subscription entitlements can depend on current servers rather than only the installed executable. An old binary does not guarantee continued access.
Export behavior is different
