Make quick carrot treat bags by filling a cone-shaped clear bag with an orange snack or candy, leaving room at the top to gather and tie it with green ribbon. For a leafy finish, tuck in folded green paper grass. You can also make a separate felt or paper version when you want a handmade favor rather than a filled snack bag.

Supplies for simple edible carrot treat bags

- An orange snack or candy, such as crackers, cheese puffs, cheddar popcorn, or candy
- Green ribbon
- Optional: green paper Easter grass, streamer, or crepe paper, plus a twist tie or rubber band
Match the bag to the amount and size of the filling, and leave enough empty space to close it. One tutorial uses a 10-by-5-inch bag with about two-thirds cup of snacks as an example; another suggests filling a bag about three-quarters full. How to assemble the snack bags
- Set out the cone bag and chosen orange filling.
- Fill the bag partway, keeping enough room at the top to gather it. Use the bag’s shape and your snack size to judge the portion rather than treating a tutorial’s example amount as a universal measure.
- For a leafy top, fold or bunch a little green paper grass near the opening. This is optional.
- Gather the top and secure it with a twist tie or rubber band if needed.
- Tie green ribbon around the gathered opening. Trim excess bag or ribbon if desired.
Orange fillings can be savory as well as sweet: examples in the tutorials include Cheez-Its, cheese puffs, cheddar popcorn, crackers, and candy. A larger bag can also be used for baby carrots as a lunch idea, as one tutorial suggests. Felt and cutting-machine alternatives
Make a felt pouch
A separate felt project uses orange and green felt cut from a printed carrot template. The tutorial uses scissors, a ruler, glue, and hook-and-loop fastener: cut the carrot body and leafy top, fringe the green piece, glue the components together, and add the closure. Treat this as a craft pouch, not food packaging; the tutorial does not establish that the materials are suitable for direct food contact. Add a cut-cardstock topper

Practical choices before filling
- For a fast favor, use a ready-made cone-shaped bag and skip the paper topper.
