For Chinese New Year 2025-themed wallpaper and backgrounds, start with the dedicated image searches at Pixabay, Unsplash, or Pexels. Each search can surface relevant images, but listings may mix photos, illustrations, broader New Year imagery, and paid entries. Check the individual image’s download access, dimensions, orientation, and reuse terms before choosing it.
Where can I download free Chinese New Year 2025 wallpapers?
These three libraries have search pages for Chinese New Year 2025 imagery. Search results change over time, so a result page is a useful starting point—not a guarantee that every image is free, high-resolution, or specifically about the holiday.

- Pixabay: Search Chinese New Year 2025 images for photos and illustrations. Broader or unrelated New Year results can appear, so check the subject of each asset.
- Unsplash: Browse Chinese New Year 2025 photos. Results can include Unsplash+ items, so verify whether a particular image is available for free download or requires a paid plan.
- Pexels: Search Chinese New Year 2025 wallpapers and use the selected image’s own download page for access and license details.
How to choose an image that fits your screen
- Check the subject. Confirm that the selected image depicts the Chinese New Year theme you want; search tags can also lead to more general New Year imagery.
- Confirm download access. Look for the individual asset’s download option and any premium or paid label before relying on it.
- Match orientation and dimensions. A portrait image is usually a better starting point for a phone, while a landscape image often suits a desktop. Compare the listed dimensions with your screen and leave room for cropping; these search pages do not establish one standard resolution for every result.
- Check the license and image-specific rights. Read the platform’s current terms and the selected asset’s details, especially before commercial use, printing, or redistribution.
What the image-library licenses allow
The platforms’ license summaries differ, and “free to download” does not mean every use is unrestricted. Review the live terms and consider rights in recognizable people, brands, trademarks, and other protected material in the image.
| Library | General license summary | Important limits to check |
|---|---|---|
| Unsplash | Images may be downloaded and used for commercial and non-commercial purposes without permission or required attribution, according to the Unsplash License. | The license disallows selling images without significant modification and compiling images to replicate a competing service. |
| Pixabay | The Pixabay License Summary permits free use and modification without required attribution. | Standalone redistribution is restricted, and additional rights can apply to trademarks, recognizable people, and other protected material. Pixabay says its full Content License, not the summary, is legally binding. |
| Pexels | The Pexels License permits free use and modification without required attribution. | It restricts unaltered resale, implying endorsement by people or brands shown, and redistribution on other stock-photo or wallpaper platforms. |
Use 2025-themed images as an archive
Chinese New Year 2025 is a past-year theme. These searches can still help if you want a 2025-specific background or are browsing older holiday artwork, but their results should not be read as a promise of current-year imagery. Inspect the image itself rather than assuming its cultural accuracy or historical meaning from its tags.
