- 12 rosas frescas.
- Un quitaespinas o tijeras para limpiar los tallos.
- 6–8 hojas de papel floral.
- Cinta masking para sujetar el papel.
- Un listón de seda de aproximadamente 20 pulgadas.

Cómo preparar y armar las rosas
La secuencia siguiente es una síntesis práctica. La página de People en Español remite a un video para las instrucciones visuales completas, pero no transcribe esos pasos.
- Prepara las flores: retira espinas y hojas que estorben. Quita también hojas muertas, pétalos marchitos y cualquier hoja que quedaría bajo el agua del florero. AARP recomienda retirar esas partes antes de colocar las flores en agua.
- Recorta los tallos: usa tijeras de florista o una navaja y corta los tallos en diagonal, una recomendación de FioriNet. Hazlo antes de poner las rosas en el florero.
- Forma la espiral: sostén una rosa y añade las siguientes con los tallos inclinados todos en la misma dirección, cruzándolos repetidamente en el mismo punto. Florex describe esta técnica como una forma de dar estructura al ramo para que se sostenga y se abra como una cúpula. Mantén un agarre firme sin aplastar los tallos.
- Sujeta y nivela: cuando las rosas estén acomodadas, ata los tallos en el punto donde se cruzan y recorta la base para que quede pareja. Ajusta la altura pensando en el florero o en cómo se entregará el ramo.
- Envuelve y termina: si quieres cubrir los tallos, rodea el ramo con papel floral y sujétalo con cinta masking. Ata el listón de seda alrededor del papel. El spray abrillantador para hojas es opcional.
Elige un acabado según el estilo que buscas

Cómo cuidar el ramo después de regalarlo
- Coloca las rosas en un florero limpio con agua y evita dejar hojas sumergidas; AARP aconseja quitar las partes que quedarían por debajo de la línea de agua.
- Cambia el agua cada dos o tres días y sigue las indicaciones del conservante floral si lo usas, según los consejos de FioriNet.
- No hay una duración fija establecida para un ramo de rosas frescas en las fuentes citadas, así que no conviene prometer un número específico de días.
Una nota sobre las rosas preservadas
La florista Erika Mejía dijo a People en Español que sus diseños de rosas preservadas pueden durar hasta tres años y no requieren atención especial. Esa afirmación se refiere a los diseños preservados de su negocio, no a un ramo de rosas frescas como el que se arma aquí.
