An official Devthane 389H document names Devran 224HS among possible primer or filler options in certain system contexts. That reference is not a current 224HS specification or blanket compatibility approval. Confirm the complete coating system for the project.

Before specifying or applying the coating, obtain the current regional product data sheet for the exact formulation and compare it with applicable local requirements. Do not transfer VOC or other specifications from Devran 224V, which is a different product.

The legacy sheet says surfaces must be dry, clean, structurally sound, and free of oil, grease, form-release agents, curing compounds, laitance, and other foreign matter. It also calls for removal of loose paint, mortar spatter, mill scale, and rust. Follow the current sheet and project specification if they differ.
