“Fall Runner: Show Me How” is a quilting tutorial for a fall table runner made by joining simple triangle-square units into a chevron design. Its description says the project needs a few fat quarters, but does not give a full supply list or finished dimensions. The instructions below distinguish that video from a separate, related AllPeopleQuilt pattern with its own measurements and materials.
What the Fall Runner tutorial covers
The AllPeopleQuilt “Fall Runner: Show Me How” page, published December 7, 2016, describes a fall table runner assembled from triangle-squares in a chevron layout. It says, “Just a few fat quarters are needed to create this easy table runner.” The page does not specify the exact fabrics, yardage, finished size, batting dimensions, or a complete materials list.

That makes the tutorial a useful visual reference for the triangle-square and chevron concept, but the page alone is not a complete written cutting plan. Choose coordinated quilting cotton fat quarters if you are following the video’s broad material description; no particular collection or brand is identified as required.
Materials and measurements in the separate linked pattern
The video page links to a differently titled project, “Fall Table Runner and Pumpkins”, updated June 25, 2025. Its specifications are for that linked pattern—not confirmed measurements for the “Fall Runner: Show Me How” video.

- Mark a diagonal line on the wrong side of a 3-7/8-inch square.
- Place it with a second square, then sew 1/4 inch from the marked line on both sides.
- Cut along the marked diagonal to separate the two units.
- Press each unit open, then trim as directed by the pattern if needed.
The linked pattern then arranges the units in four horizontal rows, joins the rows, layers the top with batting and backing, quilts the layers, and binds the runner. Consult that pattern for its complete fabric placement and assembly instructions; the brief video-page description does not establish that its layout or dimensions match.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Choosing fabric and basic tools
For a chevron that reads clearly across a table, choose fat quarters whose colors or prints remain distinct when triangle units meet. A small set of coordinated fall colors can create contrast without relying on a named fabric collection. The exact video page calls for only “a few fat quarters,” so it does not establish a precise count or color scheme beyond that general guidance.
