For a ready-to-place arrow, start with an individual Openclipart asset page and check its listed PNG bitmap options. If you find a suitable SVG instead, it can work in compatible design software or be exported to PNG. Before using any download, check its pixel size, background and file-specific license.

Openclipart’s “arrow” page, by PublicDomainArt, lists SVG and PNG bitmap downloads and describes a right-pointing arrow. The page was uploaded June 30, 2018; check the listing for the available sizes and file options.

Openclipart’s “Arrow” page, by ben, describes a set of arrows pointing in different directions and also lists PNG bitmap options alongside SVG. It was uploaded June 28, 2013. These examples show that Openclipart offers PNGs for some arrow assets; they do not establish that every asset has the same formats or sizes.
Wikimedia Commons provides individual file pages rather than one universal arrow download. For instance, “Arrow icon.svg” is an SVG file with raster preview sizes on its page. It is not itself a PNG download, so use a preview or export the SVG if your destination requires PNG.

Choose the right arrow file for your design
Use PNG for a quick drop-in
Choose a PNG when your slide, document or other destination needs a bitmap image. Match its pixel dimensions to the intended display size: a small file may look soft when enlarged, while an unnecessarily large one can be cumbersome. Available sizes vary by asset, so check the specific download listing rather than assuming a standard resolution.
Use SVG when you need to resize or recolor
SVG is vector artwork, not PNG. It can be useful in compatible software when you need to adjust an arrow or scale it to different sizes. If the destination accepts only raster images, export or convert the SVG to PNG and check the result before placing it.

Search by direction, shape and color
Try terms such as “right arrow,” “arrows in different directions,” “toolbar arrow” or “white arrow,” then compare the actual files. The pages cited here are examples, not a complete inventory. Inspect the image itself for its crop, background and transparency: a filename or PNG extension alone does not confirm that the background is transparent.

- Confirm that the selected file is PNG if your destination requires PNG; an SVG listing is a different format.
- Check the available pixel dimensions against how large the arrow will appear.
- Verify the arrow’s direction, style, crop, background and transparency in the actual file.
