F Lite is a text-to-image diffusion model family created by Freepik and Fal, with standard, 7B, and texture-focused variants. Freepik’s model card describes the models as trained on approximately 80 million images in its internal dataset, which it characterizes as “copyright-safe” and safe for work (SFW); the reviewed sources do not independently verify that claim or the dataset.

The repository dates the initial release to April 29, 2025, and the F Lite 7B release to May 9, 2025. The project documents hosted demos, Diffusers and ComfyUI workflows, and a Gradio GUI. These are documented access options; this article does not report hands-on testing.

What does “copyright-safe” mean?
Freepik’s model card says F Lite was “trained exclusively on copyright-safe and SFW content” and describes its internal dataset as containing approximately 80 million images. Those are the publisher’s descriptions. The materials reviewed do not independently audit the dataset’s contents or licensing.

“Copyright-safe” is therefore best understood here as Freepik’s characterization of its training data, not as an independent certification or a guarantee about generated images. The reviewed sources do not establish that every output is legally safe for every use.
What does SFW mean for generated images?
SFW means “safe for work.” In this context, it describes the publishers’ claim about the training content. It should not be read as a promise that every generated result will be suitable for every audience or use.
The model card lists malformed outputs, limited text capability, and possible bias as limitations. Review generated images before using them, especially where accuracy, readable text, or audience suitability matters.

What the training claim does—and does not—establish
Freepik’s description gives readers a stated account of the training data, but the reviewed materials do not provide an independent dataset audit or rights analysis. The claim also does not establish that every generated image is original or appropriate for every downstream use.
The project repository identifies CreativeML Open RAIL-M as the license for the F Lite weights. The model card separately lists Apache 2.0 for the T5 XXL and Flux Schnell VAE components. These are distinct license statements; check the relevant license documents for terms that apply to a particular use.
