The Genmitsu Cubiko is an enclosed desktop CNC for small carving and milling projects, with a listed working area of 150 × 110 × 40 mm. Genmitsu describes it as suitable for wood, soft metals and several other materials, and offers separate modules for laser engraving and drawing. The practical fit depends on your project size, selected package and tooling; the manufacturer’s claims have not been independently tested here.
What the Cubiko can do—and the size of the work area
Genmitsu’s collection lists the Cubiko’s working area as 150 × 110 × 40 mm. That is the usable envelope to check against your design: a sign, panel or fixture that exceeds any of those dimensions will not fit as a single workpiece without changing the design or workflow. The listing identifies model/SKU 101-60-CUBK-A, while localized variants also appear in the official listings, so confirm the precise model and regional package rather than assuming every version is identical.
Genmitsu calls the Cubiko ready to use and enclosed, and describes it as “dust-free” and “low-noise.” Those are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not guarantees that a project produces no dust or sound. An enclosure also should not be treated as eliminating operating hazards; consult the current manual for setup, safety and maintenance requirements.

Genmitsu says the Cubiko supports carving on “various materials, including wood, soft metal, and more.” Its feature page names MDF, plywood, bamboo, PCB, aluminum, copper, brass, gold, resin, nylon, carbon fiber and acrylic. This is a manufacturer-stated material range, not independent validation of every material, thickness, cutter or operation. Check the machine’s current guidance and choose tooling and feeds appropriate to the specific job; the available listing information does not establish a complete included-cutter list or third-party bit compatibility.

For PCB work, Genmitsu describes height-map auto-leveling: the machine measures multiple points on the surface and compensates for height variation. This is intended to help with uneven boards, but the feature description is not a measured accuracy or cut-quality result.
Control and machine features
Genmitsu describes several control routes: a computer, its app, the built-in control panel and GRBL-compatible software. It also lists automatic Z-probing and a stop when the door opens. These features may affect how you set up and supervise a job, but check the documentation for the workflow and software compatibility that apply to your exact variant.

When optional modules matter
The Cubiko’s standard CNC work is subtractive: a cutter removes material to carve or mill a design. Genmitsu also describes laser engraving on materials such as wood, leather and glass, but says the laser module is purchased separately. The drawing module is separate too; it supports pen-based work rather than milling. These tasks use different tools and setups, so confirm the module contents and workflow before buying.

How to decide whether it suits your project
- Measure the workpiece: Compare its dimensions with the listed 150 × 110 × 40 mm working area, including any space needed to hold it securely.
- Match the process to the result: Use CNC milling for carved or cut geometry, and consider the separate laser or drawing module only if those tasks are part of your plan.
- Check material-specific requirements: Genmitsu names a broad range, but the listing does not establish safe operating limits, performance or tooling for every material and thickness.
- Confirm what comes in the box: Verify cutters, modules, regional electrical variant and other package contents for the exact model you intend to order.
- Compare the full setup, not just the machine: Include any optional modules and compatible tooling you need, and check current regional pricing and stock.
Price and regional package: verify before ordering
Genmitsu’s product page displays $349 alongside a crossed-out $499, while its collection page shows a $199 starting price. Those conflicting displays are volatile listing information, not a dependable single price for every buyer or package. Check the live price in your country, the selected variant, what is included and the availability of any optional modules before purchase.
