A Washington Huskies fan built a custom LEGO model of Husky Stadium using more than 7,000 bricks. Shane Deegan’s second version of the stadium was assembled in 10 sections, with a cantilever roof, a scoreboard tribute to a memorable rivalry play and a removable facade hiding a rubber-duck joke. It was a fan creation, not an official LEGO set.
Who built the LEGO Husky Stadium?
Shane Deegan, a lifelong Huskies fan from Mukilteo, Washington, built the model. In a June 24, 2024 GeekWire report, Deegan said it was the second time he had built Husky Stadium and probably his biggest build.

The model uses more than 7,000 LEGO bricks. Deegan made it in 10 independent sections so the large structure could be handled in parts.
What details did Deegan include?
A roof built to carry its own weight
The cantilever roofs posed a structural challenge. “From an engineering standpoint, the weight of the cantilever roofs is always a challenge,” Deegan told GeekWire. “I was able to sneak a couple tricks into the build to support the weight of those roofs.”

A removable south facade reveals a three-story-tall urinal with a rubber duck. It nods to a Huskies rivalry tradition: filling the urinals with rubber ducks when Oregon’s “feathered friends from down south” visit, as Deegan put it.

Can you buy a LEGO Husky Stadium set?
The documented model is a fan-made custom build. GeekWire’s report does not provide an official LEGO kit, parts list or building instructions, so there is no verified route to buying or reproducing Deegan’s exact model. Someone inspired to make a stadium of their own can use general LEGO bricks, but that would be a separate custom project, not a boxed set recreating this one.
Where is the model on display?
GeekWire reported that the model was on display at Bricks & Minifigs in Everett through the 2024 football season, or until Deegan needed the bricks back. That was a time-limited status reported in June 2024; it does not establish where the model is now, or whether it was for sale.

Why is Husky Stadium called the “Greatest Setting in College Football”?
UW Athletics uses “Greatest Setting in College Football” to describe Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. The university highlights the stadium’s location beside Lake Washington and views of downtown Seattle, Mount Rainier, the Cascades and the Olympic Mountain Range. UW lists the stadium’s capacity as 70,138 and its opening year as 1920, with renovations in 1950, 1987 and 2012. These are the university’s facility descriptions, not proof of an independent ranking.

The setting is also part of game day on the water. The University of Washington Magazine’s sailgating feature reports that as many as 3,400 fans arrive by water on a game day. Fans anchor in Union Bay and use shuttle boats, while charter boats offer another way to reach the stadium. UW stadium operations and events director Connor Savage describes Lake Washington as “a really cool and unique backdrop.”
