AirMagic is Skylum’s desktop photo editor for aerial images. Its workflow is designed to analyze a photo, identify the drone camera, and apply automatic corrections; the full version also offers batch processing, an intensity slider, and Photoshop and Lightroom plugins. Those are features Skylum documents—not independently verified results. A key practical caveat: Skylum’s available AirMagic FAQ uses legacy release-era information and does not confirm whether the app is currently sold, updated, or compatible with today’s operating systems.

What AirMagic does to drone photos
Skylum describes AirMagic as an automated editor tailored to aerial photography. Its user guide says the software analyzes imported images and detects the drone camera, then can apply camera-specific lens corrections and adjustments such as color reveal, haze removal, and sky enhancement. Skylum calls it “the world’s first fully automated photo editing software tailored for aerial photography”; that is the company’s product description, not an independently established industry-first claim.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. That may suit someone who wants a quick starting point for a batch of aerial shots. How the workflow works
- Import or drag in photos. Skylum’s guide describes opening images in the app or dropping them into its workspace.
- Let AirMagic analyze them. The guide says the software identifies the drone camera and applies automatic adjustments, including lens corrections and enhancements to color, haze, and sky.
- Adjust intensity, if available. The full version includes a Boost slider to change the strength of the adjustments.
- Review and export. Skylum’s FAQ says users can compare before and after with a slider, then export in a chosen format and quality.
Skylum’s FAQ says AirMagic supports RAW files. It describes a desktop application for Windows and macOS, rather than a phone or tablet app. These are claims in Skylum’s documentation, not a current compatibility guarantee.

Does AirMagic make sense for your workflow?
- It may fit if you want automated corrections for aerial photos and would value processing multiple images together or working through a Photoshop or Lightroom plugin. Skylum lists those plugins and batch processing as full-version features.
- It may not fit if you need extensive manual control, need proven image-quality results before committing, or require confirmed compatibility with a current computer. The official materials cited here do not provide comparative testing or establish present-day system support.
When evaluating AirMagic against another editor, compare automation and manual control, batch processing, RAW and other format support, plugin availability, operating-system compatibility, and whether the product is currently sold and supported. Feature lists alone do not show which editor will produce the better result for a particular photograph.
Availability and compatibility are not established by the old FAQ
Skylum’s FAQ lists Windows 7, 8, and 10 (64-bit) and macOS 10.11 or newer as system requirements. Treat these as the FAQ’s published legacy requirements, not as evidence that AirMagic runs on current Windows or macOS releases. The page also does not establish current sales or update status. Check directly with Skylum before purchasing, installing, or planning a workflow around the software.
