For official Happy Nurses Week images, start with the American Nurses Association’s National Nurses Week campaign page and check which year’s toolkit is currently available. The resources verified here are for National Nurses Week 2026, May 6–12, which has passed; do not assume those files are still available or cleared for reuse. [ANA campaign page]
Where to find Nurses Week images and printables
ANA campaign toolkit
ANA’s 2026 campaign page described a digital toolkit with social media assets, customizable and printable posters, thank-you cards, and certificates of appreciation, along with campaign guidance and ideas for local activities. Visit the ANA National Nurses Week page to look for current campaign materials; the specific toolkit described was for 2026, not a guaranteed ongoing download.
AORN poster
AORN’s May 5, 2026 article offered a free National Nurses Week poster. It is another source to check if you want a facility display, but the offer was tied to the 2026 campaign. See AORN’s 2026 Nurses Week page for the original announcement.

Which image or format should you choose?
Choose an asset based on where it will appear and whether you need to personalize it. Campaign files are not interchangeable: a social post, a printed poster, and a thank-you card have different dimensions and practical uses.
- Social media: Look for a social-specific image that fits the platform and placement. Search-result details for the 2026 toolkit PDF listed JPG assets and dimensions including 1080×1350, 1080×1920, and 1080×1080. Those are examples from the 2026 materials, not a complete format list or a promise that the files remain downloadable; check the toolkit itself for current file details.
- Facility display: Choose a poster intended for printing, and confirm its dimensions and print instructions before producing copies. AORN’s 2026 poster was offered for this kind of use.
- Personal appreciation: A printable thank-you card or certificate may suit a specific colleague or team better than a public post. ANA’s 2026 toolkit described both types of printable resource.
- Customization: Confirm whether the individual file can be edited before adding a facility name, message, or logo. The presence of customizable materials in the toolkit description does not establish that every asset can be modified.
May 6–12 dates and campaign year
The 2026 U.S.-focused National Nurses Week observance ran May 6–12. ANA identified the week in its May 6, 2026 campaign announcement. The Joint Commission’s 2026 page identifies May 6 as National Nurses Day, May 12 as International Nurses Day, and May as National Nurses Month. These sources describe the 2026 observance; they do not establish that every country follows the same dates or that a future year’s campaign materials are already available. Can you repost, edit, or print an official graphic?
Do not treat a downloadable image as “free to use anywhere.” ANA’s copyright and trademark policy says its website materials and materials owned by other rights holders are protected, and that reproduction, retransmission, or republication requires written permission unless otherwise agreed to by the relevant rights holder. ANA also says its name, marks, and logos may not be used to suggest sponsorship or affiliation without prior written permission.
- Open the current campaign page and identify the exact asset and its rights holder.
- Read any terms or instructions attached to that file, including any requirements to credit the source.
- Check whether your intended use—reposting, printing, editing, commercial use, or use with a facility logo—is expressly permitted.
- If the terms do not authorize your intended use, request permission from the copyright holder before reproducing or adapting it. For ANA material, use the ANA copyright and trademark permission request page.
ANA’s policy is not a blanket license for every item in a campaign toolkit. Permission for one use or file should not be assumed to cover a different asset or purpose.
