To vote in an Asian Paints AGM, your name must appear in the company’s demat beneficiary records or physical register on the cut-off date printed in the latest AGM notice. For the 80th AGM, the cut-off date was 2 July 2026; remote e-voting ran from 5 July at 9:00 a.m. IST to 8 July 2026 at 5:00 p.m. IST, and the meeting was held on 9 July 2026. Those dates have passed, so use a newly issued Asian Paints notice for the next AGM rather than carrying them forward.

Both physical and dematerialised shareholders recorded on the relevant cut-off date can vote. The route depends on whether your shares are held through NSDL, CDSL, a depository participant (DP), or in physical form.

What determines Asian Paints AGM voting eligibility?

The decisive date is the company’s stated cut-off date. Everyday shareholder discussions may call it a record date, but Asian Paints’ notice uses “cut-off date”; follow the wording in the latest notice.

For the 80th AGM, the cut-off was Thursday, 2 July 2026, seven days before the 9 July meeting. A shareholder had to be recorded in the NSDL or CDSL beneficiary records, or in the company’s physical register, on that date. The notice expressly said that a person who was not a member on the cut-off date should treat the notice as information only.

• Demat holdings: your name must be present in the relevant NSDL or CDSL beneficiary record on the cut-off date.
• Physical holdings: your name must appear in the company’s register of members on that date.
• Joint holdings: the first named holder in the register is entitled to vote during the AGM.
• Recent purchases: the purchase date alone does not establish eligibility; compare your recorded ownership on the cut-off date with the latest notice.

NSDL’s general guidance says a company-specified cut-off date for a general meeting must not be earlier than seven days before the meeting. That rule does not fix Asian Paints’ future date: each AGM notice sets its own date.

Where can I find the current AGM date, cut-off date and voting window?

Use Asian Paints’ investor-relations Annual Reports page and open the latest annual report or the linked AGM notice. The notice is the controlling document for the meeting date, cut-off date, remote-voting period, voting event number (EVEN), login instructions and support contacts.

1. Open the latest Asian Paints AGM notice from the investor-relations Annual Reports page.
2. Search within the document for the heading “Remote e-Voting and e-Voting during the AGM.”
3. Write down the cut-off date, AGM date and start and end times for remote e-voting, including the IST time zone.
4. Note the EVEN and the service-provider instructions shown for your holding type.
5. Compare the cut-off date with the date on which your name was recorded in the NSDL or CDSL beneficiary record, or in the physical register.

Do not infer the next AGM’s dates from the 2026 notice. The next cut-off date, voting window, EVEN and credential-recovery process remain subject to the next official notice.

What were the 80th AGM dates?

These are historical 80th AGM dates, not a timetable for a future meeting.

Can I vote if I bought Asian Paints shares after the AGM notice?

Possibly, but only if you were recorded as a member on the cut-off date. Issuance of the notice is not the eligibility test. A buyer who was not recorded in the beneficiary record or physical register on the stated date cannot vote in that meeting, even if the purchase was made before the AGM itself.

For a future meeting, check the latest notice first, then verify the ownership record for that exact date with your DP or physical folio documents. If the recorded holder is different from the person who placed the order, the recorded holder is the person whose eligibility is assessed.

Which e-voting route applies to my Asian Paints shares?

Choose the route that matches the way the shares are held. The authentication method and user ID differ by route.

How do individual NSDL demat holders vote?

Individual NSDL investors can authenticate through an NSDL route rather than starting with the generic shareholder login.

1. Choose the NSDL OTP route, NSDL IDeAS, the NSDL e-Voting website or the Speede app.
2. For the OTP route, enter the DP ID, Client ID, PAN and the displayed verification code.
3. Receive and enter the OTP sent to the email address or mobile number registered with the account.
4. After authentication, select Asian Paints and the relevant EVEN. The 80th AGM used EVEN 139609; a future notice may use a different number.
5. Open the voting page, select the resolution and continue to the assent-or-dissent screen.

If the registered contact details are outdated, the OTP route may not complete. Use the contact-registration or credential-recovery process in the current notice instead of guessing an old login.

How do individual CDSL demat holders vote?

CDSL investors can use Easi or Easiest with their existing user ID and password, or use the e-Voting option on CDSL’s website.

1. Sign in to CDSL Easi/Easiest, or select the CDSL e-Voting option.
2. On the direct CDSL route, authenticate with the demat account number and PAN when requested.
3. Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number and email address.

1. Open your DP’s official online account or app and sign in with your normal DP credentials.
2. Open the e-Voting section and select the Asian Paints event.
3. Follow the redirect to the depository e-Voting service.
4. Review each resolution, select assent or dissent and verify the number of shares before submitting.

If no Asian Paints event is listed, check that the remote-voting window is open, that you used the DP linked to the eligible demat account and that the latest notice has not replaced the EVEN shown in an older document.

How do physical shareholders and non-individual holders vote?

Physical shareholders do not need an NSDL or CDSL demat login. They use the NSDL shareholder portal and the user ID format stated in the notice.

1. Go to www.evoting.nsdl.com and choose Shareholder/Member Login.
2. Enter the user ID. For physical shares, the notice defines it as the EVEN followed by the company folio number. For the 80th AGM, the example used EVEN 139609.
3. Use the existing password, retrieve the initial password if applicable, or select Forgot User Details/Password? or Physical User Reset Password?.
4. Select Asian Paints, open the resolution and verify the displayed share quantity.
5. Choose assent or dissent, then submit and confirm the vote.

The notice also uses distinct formats for demat users in this portal: an NSDL user ID is the eight-character DP ID followed by the eight-digit Client ID, while a CDSL user ID is the 16-digit Beneficiary ID. Non-individual holders should follow the document and credential requirements stated for their account type.

How do I cast, submit and confirm the vote?

Selecting an option is not the final step. The vote becomes effective only after submission and confirmation.

1. Select the Asian Paints EVEN from the events shown after login.
2. Open each resolution you wish to vote on.
3. Choose Assent or Dissent.
4. Check or modify the number of shares shown for voting, where the portal permits it.
5. Click Submit.
6. Review the confirmation prompt and click Confirm.
7. Save the success message and the SMS confirmation sent by the service.

The 80th AGM notice states that once you confirm a vote on a resolution, you cannot modify it. Review every selection before clicking Confirm; an unconfirmed selection is not the same as a completed vote.

What if my email address is not registered or I have lost my credentials?

Registering an email address

For the 80th AGM, shareholders without a registered email could use MUFG Intime’s email-registration page. They selected Asian Paints Limited, entered either the DP ID and Client ID or the physical folio and certificate details, supplied their name, PAN, mobile number and email address, and verified the required OTPs. The stated deadline was 1 July 2026 at 5:00 p.m. IST.

That deadline and the registration page should not be assumed for a future AGM. Follow the current notice, because the service provider or closing time may change.

Recovering a missing password or user ID

The 80th AGM notice directed shareholders with missing credentials to email [email protected]. Physical holders were asked to provide their folio number, name, scans of the share certificate, PAN and Aadhaar. Demat holders were asked for their DP ID and Client ID or Beneficiary ID, name, client master or consolidated statement, PAN and Aadhaar.

These are identity-verification instructions from the 2026 notice. Before sending documents for a later meeting, verify the current notice for the correct support address, accepted documents and privacy instructions.

Can I attend the virtual AGM after voting remotely?

Yes. A shareholder who voted remotely may still attend the AGM through VC/OAVM, but cannot vote again on the same resolutions. If the shareholder voted remotely on only some resolutions, the remaining resolutions could still be voted on during the AGM.

After successful login, use the VC/OAVM link under Join Meeting. For the 80th AGM, the link was scheduled to open 30 minutes before the meeting and the facility stated capacity for at least 1,000 members on a first-come, first-served basis. That capacity statement applied to the 2026 meeting and is not a guarantee for a future AGM.

What should I check if voting does not work?

• No Asian Paints event: confirm that the remote-voting window is currently open and that you are using the EVEN from the latest notice.
• Not eligible: compare your name in the NSDL or CDSL beneficiary record, or physical register, with the cut-off date; a trade after the cut-off cannot be corrected by using another login.
• OTP not received: check the registered mobile and email, then use the current notice’s registration or recovery route.
• Wrong user ID: use the format for your holding type—NSDL DP ID plus Client ID, CDSL 16-digit Beneficiary ID, or EVEN plus physical folio number.
• Vote changed accidentally: if Confirm has not been clicked, review and amend the selection; after confirmation, the notice says the vote cannot be modified.
• Unable to join after remote voting: attendance remains allowed, but voting again on resolutions already voted remotely is not.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Asian Paints missing from my e-voting dashboard?

An event normally appears only while the remote-voting period is active and only for an account that was recorded on the cut-off date. Check the latest notice for a changed EVEN, confirm that you used the DP linked to the eligible account, and try again during the stated window.

What should I do if the OTP never arrives?

Verify that the mobile number and email address registered with your depository or DP are current. If they are not, use the email-registration or credential-recovery process in the applicable AGM notice; do not send identity documents to an address taken from an old notice without checking it first.

Can a physical shareholder vote without converting the shares to demat?

Yes. Physical holders can use the shareholder login on the NSDL e-Voting portal with the EVEN-plus-folio user ID format and the password or reset option specified in the notice. Eligibility still depends on being recorded in the physical register on the cut-off date.

Is the 2026 EVEN valid for the next AGM?
