This project is a small holder or display made from LEGO bricks; the printed business cards are separate. Build a stable base, a rear support and a low front edge, sizing the space around the cards you actually plan to display. There is no verified universal stud count or parts list for this design, so fit and test as you build.
Choose what the holder needs to do
Decide whether you want to display one card upright or keep a small stack of cards ready to take. A single-card display can be compact; a stack needs enough room to slide cards in and out. Keep the front retaining edge low enough that it does not hide the name, logo or other important details.

Gather bricks and measure the cards
Use a collection of LEGO bricks and the printed cards you want to hold. LEGO’s photo-frame activity lists “a handful of LEGO® bricks, printed photo cards,” while its birthday card-stand activity lists a collection of bricks. Neither provides a complete parts inventory for a business-card holder. A general brick assortment may help, but no particular set has been verified as a complete kit for this project.

Measure the card width and, if you are holding more than one, the thickness of the stack. Leave a little clearance so the cards can be inserted and removed without forcing them. Do not rely on a universal number of studs: the available examples do not specify a business-card size or a matching LEGO measurement.
Build the holder
- Make a broad base. Arrange bricks or plates into a footprint wide enough for the card and deep enough to support the structure. Overlap pieces across joins so the base holds together as you handle the cards.
- Add the rear support. Build a wall or angled support at the back to keep the card upright. Make it secure enough that the card does not tip backward when placed in the holder.
- Add a low front retaining edge. Place a short row of bricks at the front to stop the card sliding forward. Keep it below the visible text and artwork.
- Test the fit as you build. Insert the actual card or stack. Widen the opening if the cards catch, and adjust the depth if they lean, tip or slide. Thicker stock and larger stacks need more room.
- Check stability and access. Set the holder on the surface where it will be used. Confirm that it stays upright and that cards can be removed without pulling the build apart.
Adjust the design to your use
- One card: Favor a compact footprint and a clear view of the card.
- A small stack: Leave space for the full stack and a way to grip the top card. Test with the number you intend to keep in the holder; no tested capacity is established for this design.
- More stability: Widen or deepen the base, especially if cards will be handled often.
- Smaller footprint: Reduce the base only if the holder remains stable with your cards in place.
Document a repeatable build
If you share a version that others should be able to reproduce, include clear step photos and a parts list. BrickLink Studio describes a bill of materials as a list of the parts used in a model and supports adding one to instructions: BrickLink Studio bill of materials documentation.
