You can create an ibisAccount from ibisPaint’s sign-in flow, then use that same account to access ibisPaint online and synchronize cloud-stored artwork across devices. An ibisAccount is not the only login option: ibisPaint also supports Apple, Facebook, and X accounts. Creating an account alone does not automatically back up every drawing saved on your device.
Do you need an ibisAccount to use ibisPaint?
Not necessarily. ibisPaint distinguishes between drawing locally in the app and using its online services.

You can use ibisPaint’s local drawing features without assuming that every file is stored online. For online services—including signing in to ibisPaint, accessing ibispaint.com, and using cloud storage—ibisPaint lists four login routes: an ibisAccount, Apple, Facebook, or X. See the current options on the official ibisPaint website and its sign-in page.
An ibisAccount is ibisPaint’s own account system. It is separate from the account you use with Apple, Facebook, or X. If you rely on cloud-stored artwork or expect to change devices, choosing one login identity and keeping access to it is important.
How to create an ibisAccount
The exact wording of the registration link can change, and the registration form may be loaded dynamically. Look for the new-account, registration, or sign-up option after selecting ibisAccount rather than relying on one permanent button label.
From the ibisPaint app
- Open ibisPaint.
- Open the app’s account or sign-in area. Its location and label can vary by platform and app version.
- Tap Sign in, or the equivalent account option.
- Choose Sign in with ibisAccount.
- On the ibisAccount page, select the option for registering a new account.
- Enter the requested email address and create a strong, unique password.
- Accept any applicable terms and complete any CAPTCHA, security prompt, or email-verification step shown.
- Return to ibisPaint and sign in with the ibisAccount you just created.
If the app opens the account page inside a limited in-app browser, open the official page in a current browser instead. The ibisAccount sign-in endpoint is account.ibis.ne.jp/login.

- Go to ibispaint.com.
- Select Sign in.
- Choose Sign in with ibisAccount.
- Follow the registration or new-account link on the ibisAccount login page.
- Complete the requested details and verification.
- Sign in again using the new ibisAccount.
Do not use third-party pages that offer to register an “ibisPaint account.” Start from ibisPaint’s official website or the official ibisAccount domain.
Can you use Apple, Facebook, or X instead?
Yes. ibisPaint’s current official login information lists Apple, Facebook, and X as alternatives to an ibisAccount. This can be convenient if you already use one of those services, but it is not the same as creating a separate ibisAccount password.
Choose one identity and use it consistently. For example, if you first used Sign in with Apple, signing in later with an ibisAccount—or with a different Apple ID—may lead to a different account with no visible cloud artwork.
If you use Apple’s Hide My Email feature, do not try to identify the account by guessing an email address. Use the same Apple sign-in identity that was used originally.

Should you link a social login to an ibisAccount?
ibisPaint recommends linking an external login to an ibisAccount. According to its account-linking guidance, linkage can help you retain access if the external service develops an account problem, while also supporting access to cloud-stored artwork, ibispaint.com, and account settings through the ibisAccount.
The general process is:
- Sign in with the Apple, Facebook, or X account you normally use for ibisPaint.
- Open the account or settings area.
- Choose the option for linking an ibisAccount. The exact menu path may vary by current app version.
- Sign in to an existing ibisAccount or complete the registration process for a new one.
- Confirm the linkage.
After linking, continue using the linked identity on other devices. Linking accounts is different from creating a second, unrelated ibisPaint login.
Creating an account does not back up drawings automatically
An account gives you an identity for ibisPaint’s online services; it does not necessarily upload every drawing already saved on your phone, tablet, or computer. Cloud storage is a separate upload or synchronization step.
To protect existing work:
- Create or sign in to your ibisAccount—or sign in with the linked Apple, Facebook, or X account.
- Open the artwork you want to preserve.
- Use ibisPaint’s current cloud-storage, upload, or synchronization control for that artwork. The exact label can vary by edition and version.
- Wait until the upload or synchronization has finished.
- Before wiping, replacing, or deleting the original device, sign in on another device and confirm that the artwork appears there.
Cloud synchronization can restore artwork that was uploaded to ibisPaint’s cloud service. It cannot recover a drawing that existed only as a local file and was never uploaded. For the current synchronization behavior and limits, consult ibisPaint’s official cloud-storage documentation.

How to sign in on another phone, tablet, or computer
- Install ibisPaint on the new device, if necessary.
- Open the sign-in screen.
- Use the exact same account identity used for the original cloud upload: the same ibisAccount, Apple account, Facebook account, or X account.
- Open the cloud-storage controls and use Cloud Synchronization or the equivalent current option.
- Wait for the cloud files to become available.
If the gallery appears empty, do not immediately reset or erase the old device. First sign out and try the original login route. A different social account, a different Apple ID, or a separate ibisAccount can look like a missing-library problem even when the original cloud files still exist elsewhere.

As checked on August 18, 2026, ibisPaint’s official cloud-storage page lists:

Cloud artwork is synchronized among devices signed in with the same account. These figures and retention terms can change, so check the official cloud-storage page for the latest conditions.
The same page states that cloud artwork for non-Premium users may be deleted after 180 days without cloud-storage use. It also states that if Premium Membership is canceled, the limit falls from 20 GB to 64 MB and files exceeding the reduced limit are deleted after 30 days. An ibisAccount does not provide unlimited cloud storage by itself.

Troubleshooting account creation and missing artwork
“I cannot find the registration option.”
- Make sure you selected Sign in with ibisAccount; the registration link may appear only on that page.
- Open the ibisAccount page in a normal, updated browser.
- Enable JavaScript and allow the page to load fully.
- Try the official ibisPaint sign-in page again.
- Check the live wording rather than looking for one fixed label such as “Create Account.”
“I did not receive a verification email.”
Check the address you entered, your spam or junk folder, and whether the registration page offers a resend option. Avoid repeatedly creating accounts with different addresses, since that can make it harder to identify the account connected to your artwork.
“My artwork is missing after signing in.”
- Sign out and retry the original login method.
- Confirm that you used the same Apple, Facebook, X, or ibisAccount identity.
- Check the original device while it is still available.
- Verify that the artwork was uploaded to cloud storage rather than saved only locally.
- Allow synchronization to finish.
“I created an account, but my local drawings did not appear.”
Registration does not automatically migrate local drawings. Upload or synchronize the individual artwork from the original device, then check it on the new device.
“I lost access to my social-login account.”
Recover the Apple, Facebook, or X account through that provider if possible. If you previously linked the external login to an ibisAccount, try signing in through the ibisAccount route. ibisPaint specifically recommends linkage as a way to preserve access if the external service becomes unavailable; see its official account-linking page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use one ibisAccount on multiple devices?
Yes, the cloud workflow is intended to synchronize artwork among devices signed in with the same account. The files must have been uploaded, and synchronization must be completed on the relevant devices.
Do I need Premium Membership to create an ibisAccount?
The available official information describes separate cloud limits for Premium and non-Premium members. It does not establish that Premium Membership is required to register an ibisAccount.
