Samsung’s Camera watermark setting won’t remove a mark from a photo you’ve already taken. To try removing it from the image itself, open the photo in Samsung Gallery and use Object Eraser, if your phone offers it. The tool fills the area where the mark was, so inspect the result and keep the original; Samsung does not guarantee a clean reconstruction for watermarks.
Remove the watermark with Object Eraser
- Open the original image in Samsung Gallery.
- Tap Edit, then find Object Eraser. Depending on the phone and software, Samsung documents it under either the Intelligence features (three stars) icon or the rightmost four-circles editing icon.
- Tap or draw around the watermark, then tap Erase.
- Check the filled area at normal size and zoomed in, especially where the watermark crosses text, a face, a straight edge, or a detailed background. If the fill damages nearby detail, undo or revert and try a smaller selection.
- Save a copy if that option is available, leaving the untouched original intact.
Samsung’s US Gallery instructions describe Object Eraser as a way to remove unwanted details and fill the missing area. Using it on a watermark is a practical application of that general tool, not a specific Samsung promise that every watermark can be removed cleanly.

Samsung’s US A-series editing guidance documents Gallery cropping. If Object Eraser is absent or its fill looks worse than the original, cropping is worth considering only when the lost framing is acceptable.

Why the Camera watermark setting won’t undo an existing mark
Samsung’s support guidance says that once a camera watermark has been applied, it cannot be deleted or removed through the watermark feature. That refers to the Camera setting; it does not mean an editor cannot alter the visible pixels. Turn off Camera > Settings > Watermark to prevent the setting from adding a watermark to subsequent photos, not to change existing ones.

Menu names, paths, and feature availability vary by Galaxy model and software or app version. Samsung’s US A-series guide lists Object Eraser for the Galaxy A26 5G, A36 5G, and A56 5G, while its separate A27 5G instructions show a different Gallery route. Check the Gallery editor and your phone’s current software and app version rather than assuming every Galaxy has the same controls.

Samsung says Galaxy AI photo editing on its A27 guidance requires a Samsung account login and an internet connection. That requirement is specific to that AI editing guidance; it should not be assumed to apply to every Object Eraser version.
