JSW Dulux Limited, formerly Akzo Nobel India Limited, is reported to have set October 22, 2026, as the record date for a 1:10 share split. Under the reported terms, each fully paid ₹10 face-value share will be subdivided into ten shares with a face value of ₹1 each. The date and split terms were reported by Zee Business; the primary record-date filing was not available for independent verification.
Which paint maker is splitting its shares?
The company is JSW Dulux Limited, which has also filed with the NSE under the symbol JSWDULUX. Earlier filings used its former name, Akzo Nobel India Limited. Zee Business reported the proposed split terms in October 2026: its report, reproduced by Muck Rack. The NSE filings establish the company identity and symbol, not the split terms: August 11, 2026 filing and May 13, 2026 filing under the former name.
What is the reported split ratio and record date?
Zee Business reported that the company fixed October 22, 2026, as the record date for the proposed subdivision. The reported ratio is 1:10: one fully paid equity share with a face value of ₹10 becomes ten equity shares with a face value of ₹1 each. A record date is used to determine which shareholders are eligible for the corporate action.

What changes for a shareholder?
The number of shares increases tenfold while the face value per share falls from ₹10 to ₹1. For example, a holder of 5 eligible shares would receive 50 shares after the subdivision, subject to the company’s final terms and processing. The split changes the denomination and count of shares; by itself, it does not add value to the company or change its fundamentals.
The split ratio is not a promise that the market price will move in a particular way. Do not treat the lower face value or larger share count as evidence of a gain or forecast a specific post-split price.

Is October 22 the ex-date?
Not necessarily. October 22, 2026, is reported as the record date, not established here as the ex-date. The exact ex-date and settlement mechanics were not confirmed in the available notices. Investors who need to establish eligibility should check the company’s official corporate-action notice and their broker or depository communications rather than infer a cutoff from the record date alone.

StockWatch reported that shareholders approved the proposal by postal ballot on September 20, 2026. That date is secondary reporting; the primary voting-result filing was not independently checked. StockWatch’s September 22, 2026 summary provides that account.
