The acts were not all the same kind of show: some centered on spectacle, some on participation or practical learning, and one was a featured talk. The announced lineup can be read as a menu of experiences, not a ranking.

Featured talk: Adam Savage’s Sunday Sermon
Make: announced Adam Savage, identified in the preview as a MythBusters co-host and Tested.com founder, for 11 a.m. Sunday, October 20, on the Foundry Stage. The preview characterized his recurring Maker Faire Sunday Sermon as humorous and concise. That description is the event preview’s, rather than an independently verified account of the talk.
Magic and robots: Mario the Maker Magician
Mario the Maker Magician was announced for the Foundry Stage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Make: described an all-ages act combining robots, magic, and Arduino-powered slapstick. The preview did not give individual set times, so it cannot establish when to arrive for a particular performance.
Soda and Mentos: EepyBird’s science demonstration
EepyBird’s presentation was described as a choreographed fountain made with Diet Coke or similar no-sugar soda and Mentos, paired with an explanation of the science and guidance for making DIY nozzles. The aim, as presented by Make:, was both to stage a dramatic demonstration and show how people could make geysers at home.

Those figures describe the prior-year setup as recounted in 2024; they are not a specification for the 2024 performance. The same preview reported more than 150 million EepyBird video views, without a platform breakdown or measurement date, so the figure should be understood as a claim reported by Make: rather than an audited total.

The preview described Bob Pflugfelder—known as Science Bob—as a teacher, author, maker, and presenter. His segment connected live demonstrations with activities people could try beyond the stage: Make: said his website offered interactive experiment instructions and videos, particularly for parents and teachers seeking “Random Acts of Science.”
Music powered by people: Rock the Bike
Rock the Bike brought the program’s participatory music angle. Make: described the Oakland-based company as a maker of pedal-powered concert stages and reported that it had produced more than 150 pedal-powered music events by 2024. The preview’s account makes cycling part of the performance infrastructure, rather than just a topic discussed onstage.
Finding LEGO pieces and sets with Sam Suksiri
Sam Suksiri, described by Make: as a comedian and former LEGO Master Model Builder, was set to demonstrate ways to identify unfamiliar LEGO pieces and locate sets. The methods named in the preview included search terms, online LEGO catalogs, and AI image search. It also described helping people reconnect with missing sets from a few loose pieces or a remembered description. That makes this segment especially relevant to anyone sorting a mixed collection or trying to rebuild a set, without implying that a particular set was demonstrated or endorsed.
How to choose which announced segment to prioritize
- For a featured talk: Adam Savage’s Sunday Sermon was the explicitly timed listing: 11 a.m. Sunday at the Foundry Stage.
- For magic and robotics: Mario the Maker Magician was listed across all three days, though individual set times were not provided.
- For a science spectacle with a DIY angle: EepyBird’s soda-and-Mentos fountain paired performance with explanation and nozzle-making guidance.
- For experiments to try away from the stage: Science Bob’s described focus was interactive science activities and videos.
- For participatory music: Rock the Bike’s pedal-powered concert stage represented the lineup’s music-making element.
- For solving a practical maker puzzle: Sam Suksiri’s LEGO segment focused on identifying pieces and tracking down sets.
This is a guide to the experiences the preview described, not confirmation of the final schedule. The available public source does not establish the completed running order, attendance, or post-event outcomes.
