For Pat Sloan’s 2016 Mystery Row Quilt, gather 13 batik fabrics for the quilt top, plus binding fabric, backing fabric, and batting. The pattern’s yardages and cutting instructions assume 42 inches of usable fabric width, so use the itemized amounts below when shopping.
Identify the Mystery Row Quilt
This materials list is for the 2016 Mystery Row Quilt designed by Pat Sloan. The consolidated project page presents it as “Row-by-Row Quilt” and lists materials for the complete quilt. Its sample uses Hometown Girl Batiks by Pat Sloan for Moda Fabrics; the pages do not say that you must use that collection.

The pattern states: “Yardages and cutting instructions are based on 42" of usable fabric width.” If your fabric has less usable width, or you substitute a different print or color, check that it can accommodate the pattern’s specified cuts. These are pattern-specific amounts for the six rows, not a general yardage formula for row quilts.
