Oasis Mini is a compact, app-controlled kinetic sand art device: a small ball moves through sand to draw patterns. Grounded markets the display as calming and stress-relieving, but its product materials do not establish that it reduces stress in a clinical or measured way. It may appeal as a soothing desk or coffee-table activity; treat the claimed benefit as subjective, not a health outcome.
What Oasis Mini is
Grounded describes Oasis Mini as a kinetic sand art canvas. A metal ball travels through a layer of sand, leaving a pattern behind. You use an iOS or Android app to control the device over Wi-Fi, and the maker’s manual describes pattern selection and customization.

Grounded’s Oasis User Manual Rev 2 calls it “an innovative kinetic canvas that combines art, technology, and relaxation into one compact, captivating experience.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not independent evidence of a therapeutic effect. The maker’s pages also frame it as decor for a desk or coffee table.
Can Oasis Mini help relieve stress?
It may feel relaxing to watch the ball trace designs or to use the app to create patterns. Whether that helps a particular person unwind will depend on personal preference and circumstances. Grounded uses calming, mindfulness, and stress-relief language, but the reviewed product materials do not provide clinical research or measured outcomes showing that Oasis Mini reduces stress.

- KINETIC SAND ART: Choose from hundreds of available patterns or create your own with the included tools and tutorials.
- GIVE A UNIQUE GIFT: Give the gift of calm to others or yourself.

- WHAT'S INCLUDED: (1) Oasis Mini, (1) Sand Packet, (1) Ball Bearing, (1) Sand Smoothing Card, (1) User Manual, (1) Power Adapter, (1) USB Power Cable
It is best understood as an interactive art object rather than a treatment for stress or a mental-health condition. Anyone seeking help for persistent or severe stress should not rely on the device as a substitute for professional support.
Size, power, and included items
Grounded lists the Oasis Mini as 9 inches (234 mm) in diameter and 3 inches (76 mm) tall. It needs to stay plugged in: the maker’s FAQ says it is not battery powered. The product listing specifies a USB-C cable and wall power block.

App and wireless setup

The manual describes choosing and customizing patterns in the app. The exact current pattern selection should not be treated as fixed: product-page and marketing materials differ in their pattern counts, and app content may change.

- 1 SANDSARA mini - automatic kinetic sculpture
- 1 bag of white sand
- 3 metal balls 6mm
- 1 power adapter 120v/240v
- 1 tempered glass cover
That makes Oasis Mini a better fit for someone comfortable setting up a connected device than for someone seeking a wholly manual, no-app display. The reviewed materials establish Wi-Fi as part of the product setup, but do not establish broader compatibility details such as supported Wi-Fi bands or a current minimum operating-system version.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Cover and keeping the sand smooth
The maker lists a glass cover among the included items, which can help keep the sand art surface covered between viewing sessions. Its Kickstarter FAQ also addresses smoothing the sand between designs and identifies a sand rake card as an included accessory. Follow the supplied instructions for resetting the surface; the reviewed materials do not establish a separate, more detailed smoothing procedure.
