Quilts & More Summer 2022 is a back-issue collection of seasonal sewing projects—not a single quilt pattern. Its official feature list ranges from quilts and a valance to a tote, pillow, table runner, and coasters. The issue originally went on sale May 13 through August 5, 2022; that window has passed, so current access depends on whether the digital issue or individual patterns remain available.

What’s in the Summer 2022 issue?

The official issue page lists 16 feature entries. Among them are these named projects and project groups:

  • Skill Builder: Fabric Valance: Andra Walker of Sew Wonderful by Paper and Cloth designs a fabric valance for Moda Fabrics.
  • Scrap Lab Design Challenge: Amanda Niederhauser’s star-block wall quilt, Nancy Snyder’s Churn Dash table topper, and Kristyne Czepuryk’s tote using stitch-and-flip piecing and Nine-Patch units.
  • Mad About Plaid: Amanda Wilbert of Pieced Just Sew designs a large-scale plaid throw using strip sets and color placement.
  • Buzz Worthy: Charisma Horton’s bee-themed throw, with the option to piece and frame a bee block.
  • Make a Display: Summer: Allison Jensen of Woodberry Way designs a sailboat wall quilt using Bee Cross Stitch, Confetti Cotton Solids, and Swiss Dot fabrics by Riley Blake Designs. A related 12-inch-square sailboat block can be adapted into a throw pillow.
  • Coastal Summer: Andy Knowlton’s quick throw combines strip piecing and triangle-squares; the credited fabric is Seashore Drive by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda Fabrics.
  • American Pie: Leila Gardunia combines foundation-pieced pie slices and scrappy star blocks in a summer table runner.
  • Mixed Fruit: Kristina Brinkerhoff of Center Street Quilts uses on-point star blocks and Under the Apple Tree fabrics by Loes van Oosten for Cotton + Steel. A related project option is a pastel Star-block baby quilt.
  • Broad Stripes & Bright Stars: Corey Yoder’s star-and-stripes pillow cover uses French General Sashiko by French General for Moda Fabrics. A related option is a pair of summer coasters.
  • Scrappy Delight: Jo Kramer and Kelli Hanken of Jo’s Country Junction design a contrast-focused scrappy-star throw, with a red, white, and blue wall-quilt option.

Where to look for patterns or the issue

The official page links some project options to free patterns, including the framed bee block, pastel baby quilt, summer coasters, and scrappy-star wall quilt. Those links are worth checking if you want a particular small project without tracking down the complete issue; whether each link still works is not established here.

For the complete issue, the official page directs readers who missed it to a digital-issue route, but it does not establish present-day purchase access. Stitchin’ Heaven describes single-issue purchase and quarterly subscription options for the magazine, while its listing is marked sold out. That status applies to that retailer’s listing only, not to every possible seller or format. Check the retailer listing directly for its current status.

Fabric credits and sourcing

The project descriptions credit fabrics from Moda Fabrics, Riley Blake Designs, P&B Textiles, and Cotton + Steel. These are the collections or makers named for projects in the issue; the credits do not indicate that the fabrics are still being produced or stocked. If a named collection is unavailable, use the project’s colors and construction as a guide when choosing substitute quilting cotton, rather than assuming the original collection can still be found.
