Verdict: The eufyMake E1 is an unusually capable desktop UV printer for makers who want full-color graphics with raised, tactile texture on products such as plaques, magnets, phone cases, mugs, leather goods, and 3D-printed parts. Its output can look genuinely premium, but the machine is not a fast production printer or a maintenance-free home-office appliance. High upfront cost, white- and gloss-ink consumption, lengthy textured prints, ventilation needs, and software limitations make it best for premium one-offs and small batches rather than hundreds of identical products.

What the eufyMake E1 actually is
The E1 is a desktop UV inkjet printer. It deposits liquid UV-curable ink onto a substrate, then uses ultraviolet light to cure that ink during the print. By stacking layers, it can create raised surface decoration as well as ordinary flat color.
That distinction matters. Its advertised “3D texture” is relief printed onto an object; it does not produce freestanding sculptures and it does not replace a filament or resin 3D printer. The manufacturer advertises up to 5 mm texture height, up to 1440 DPI, a flatbed area of up to 330 × 420 mm, direct printing on more than 300 materials, optional rotary printing, and UV DTF laminating. These are manufacturer specifications or claims, not guarantees for every material or design. See eufyMake’s specifications.
White ink is central when printing on dark or transparent materials. Gloss ink can add a polished finish and contributes heavily to raised work. In independent testing, white and gloss consumption greatly exceeded CMYK consumption on a large textured print.
What it prints well—and where the claims need context
The E1 is potentially useful for ceramic magnets, keychains, signs, plaques, phone cases, wood and acrylic blanks, canvas artwork, leather or faux-leather goods, patches, and some 3D-printed parts. With the rotary attachment, it can address mugs, tumblers, and other cylindrical or conical objects. The Deluxe Bundle also includes a UV DTF laminator, according to the official store.
The “300+ materials” claim should not be read as “300 materials that print identically without preparation.” Adhesion, surface energy, porosity, flexibility, curvature, height variation, heat sensitivity, and the suitability of the ink all matter.
| Substrate or workload | Practical expectation |
|---|---|
| Opaque, rigid, flat, clean surfaces | Usually the easiest starting point |
| Dark surfaces | Good candidate for white-ink underlayers, with higher consumption |
| Transparent acrylic or glass | Possible, but camera-based contour recognition can struggle |
| Reflective metal | May require manual alignment or a jig |
| Flexible fabric, leather, or film | May require flexible white ink and substrate-specific testing |
| Thin or warped blanks | Risky; a flat, stable surface is important |
| Curved objects | Best approached with the rotary attachment and careful setup |
Tom’s Hardware reported that thin PLA blanks warped during its work and recommended PETG or ASA for its own printed blanks and jigs. That is a useful warning for makers who plan to print their own fixtures or product bases. Read the Tom’s Hardware review.
Print quality: the reason to buy it
The E1’s strongest argument is visual and tactile quality. Independent reviewers found saturated color, convincing white ink, sharp detail, and attractive gloss and relief effects. WIRED described the output as premium and, in some cases, comparable to or better than store-bought products. That is a reviewer judgment rather than a laboratory color-accuracy measurement; eufyMake’s “true-to-life color” language should likewise be treated as marketing, not objective colorimetry.
Texture can make a simple graphic feel like a premium product: raised lettering on a plaque, a tactile logo on a phone case, or a textured illustration on canvas. It can also become gimmicky if the relief is too high, edges are poorly controlled, or the substrate flexes. The best results are designs where texture communicates something—lettering, linework, highlights, faux embossing, or a deliberately layered illustration.

Durability appears promising but is substrate-dependent. Tom’s Hardware reported that a textured ASA print survived multiple events with only minor chipping and that a phone case remained usable for nearly five months with limited wear. Those are specific reviewer examples, not a universal scratch-resistance, outdoor-life, or adhesion guarantee.
Speed and ink consumption are the economic reality
Small demonstration objects can sound fast in promotional material, but print time depends on area, resolution, pass count, white and gloss layers, and texture height. Heavy relief is particularly expensive in both time and ink.
| Independent test | Time | Ink |
|---|---|---|
| Phone case with approximately 0.4 mm raised texture | 1 hour 12 minutes | 4.5 mL |
| 12 × 16-inch textured canvas | 6 hours 55 minutes | 46.27 mL |
Tom’s Hardware estimated the canvas job’s ink cost at $19.89, before an approximately $2 canvas. Its reported consumption was especially revealing: almost 23 mL of white ink and about 22 mL of gloss, while each CMYK color used less than 0.5 mL. The exact cost will vary with cartridge pricing and settings, but the pattern is the important point: texture and underlayers, not just color coverage, drive operating cost.

That makes the E1 a strong fit for a $30–$100 personalized item, a prototype, or a limited run—but a poor fit for commodity products where the selling price leaves little room for machine time and failed prints.
| Workload | Suitability |
|---|---|
| One-off gifts and prototypes | Excellent |
| Small craft-fair batches | Good if priced for time and ink |
| Large textured artwork | Possible, but slow and ink-intensive |
| Hundreds of identical items | Usually a poor fit |
| Industrial or high-volume production | Not the intended class of machine |
Price, bundles, and the cost beyond ink
The US official store listed these bundles on August 18, 2026:
- Basic Bundle — $2,409: E1 printer and ink set.
- Deluxe Bundle — $3,209: E1, ink set, rotary attachment, and UV DTF laminator.
The Deluxe Bundle makes sense only if curved-object printing and laminating are part of your plan. Otherwise, the extra hardware may sit unused while adding to the initial investment.
Budget separately for cleaning cartridges, replacement ink, adhesive mats, failed prints, blanks, ventilation, gloves and cleaning supplies, design software, maintenance time, and eventually replacement parts or a printhead. The available evidence does not establish a reliable current US price list for every replacement component, so do not build a business plan around unverified accessory or maintenance prices.

WIRED found basic setup and printing approachable, but still noted trial and error involving transparency, DPI, image types, design layers, and material presets. In other words, the hardware may be beginner-friendly, while consistent commercial output still requires design and process knowledge. WIRED’s review is useful context.
Automatic positioning is helpful, not magic
eufyMake describes dual lasers and a snapshot camera that measure height and contours. This can simplify placement on ordinary opaque objects. The user guide warns, however, that transparent materials such as glass and acrylic are difficult for contour recognition because of refraction, reflection, transmission, blurred boundaries, and background interference. Consult the E1 user guide.
Before selling a new product, test an opaque tile, dark material, transparent acrylic, reflective metal, a curved mug, an uneven 3D-printed object, and a flexible material. If detection fails, use a contrasting background, a stable jig, manual positioning, or a simplified object profile. Always run an alignment preview before committing expensive ink and a blank.

Software strengths and limitations
The reported strengths include layer and opacity controls, material presets, camera-assisted alignment, shared designs, and AI-assisted generation or image manipulation. WIRED found the interface mostly intuitive for people familiar with image editing.
The Gadgeteer found more serious limitations for a long-term product catalog. Non-raster uploads were rasterized and flattened with transparency; PSD files did not remain editable layered documents; TIFF support was not apparent; the file browser became cumbersome with many uploads; and exports were limited to PNG or JPG. Projects containing 3D relief could also be difficult to preserve or recover without regenerating the relief, potentially consuming additional AI credits. See The Gadgeteer’s software findings.
Those findings make file preservation important. Keep original artwork, masks, layer instructions, dimensions, material notes, and relief settings outside the application. Do not assume that an app library is a complete, portable business archive.
The supplied evidence does not establish current definitive answers about every operating system, internet requirement, cloud-storage policy, export format, or AI-credit rule. Check the current software documentation before purchase, especially if your business depends on offline use or editable project portability. Treat AI features as optional convenience rather than the foundation of your workflow.

This is not an ordinary office printer. UV-curable ink, odor, uncured residue, cleanup, and waste require a dedicated workspace. WIRED specifically identified ventilation, space, maintenance, and ink cost as major drawbacks. Follow the current manufacturer safety instructions for gloves, eye and skin contact, cleanup, waste, and ventilation; do not assume that a “desktop” or “home” label makes operation appropriate in a bedroom or poorly ventilated living area.

Maintenance is part of ownership. A self-cleaning function, if available, does not mean maintenance-free operation. Establish the correct shutdown routine, follow the manufacturer’s idle-period instructions, and verify how cleaning cycles consume ink. Tom’s Hardware reported that an early beta unit developed a terminal clog after an improper shutdown. That is an isolated test report, not evidence that every E1 will clog, but it is enough to treat shutdown discipline seriously. Tom’s Hardware discusses the incident.
Before purchase, ask eufyMake about warranty duration, support response, individual replacement parts, printhead availability, mats, cartridges, and what happens if an ink channel or sensor fails. Long-term failure rates are not established by the available reviews.
Who should buy it?
Buy the E1 if you:
- Need direct-to-object printing with raised texture.
- Sell premium personalized goods, prototypes, or limited batches.
- Can dedicate a ventilated workspace.
- Can absorb ink costs and failed experiments.
- Value flexibility and surface effects more than throughput.
- Are comfortable preparing layered, transparent artwork and testing substrates.
Postpone or avoid it if you:
- Expect office-printer convenience or unattended reliability.
- Need cheap, predictable, high-volume production.
- Primarily need ordinary stickers, signs, or sublimation blanks.
- Print mostly large, heavily textured artwork.
- Cannot manage ventilation and routine maintenance.
- Need a fully portable, editable project archive independent of the manufacturer’s software.
Alternatives by use case
If you mainly need cutting, engraving, and a broader craft platform, a multifunction machine such as the xTool M1 Ultra may be a better direction, though it does not reproduce the E1’s specialized direct UV-relief workflow.
If your priority is 3D fabrication and prototyping, the Bambu Lab H2D is a more relevant multifunction alternative. It is not a direct-to-substrate UV printer and will not provide the same combination of full-color surface graphics, white ink, gloss, and raised relief.
A commercial UV flatbed is the better category for a real print shop that needs throughput, larger beds, duty-cycle capacity, and established production workflows. It also brings substantially greater equipment, space, setup, and maintenance costs. The E1 occupies the maker and small-batch end of the market, not the industrial one.
Final verdict
The eufyMake E1 is not a novelty, but it is a specialized tool whose value depends almost entirely on what you intend to sell. Its combination of direct printing, full color, broad substrate ambitions, and tactile relief can produce work that ordinary inkjet, sublimation, laser, and 3D-printing workflows cannot easily match.
Buy it for premium one-offs, prototypes, and carefully priced small batches—provided you have ventilation, maintenance tolerance, and a plan for ink-heavy texture work. Do not buy it expecting low-cost bulk production, effortless operation, or guaranteed compatibility with every material. For a maker who can charge for the effect, the E1 is genuinely impressive. For a business that needs predictable throughput and tightly controlled unit economics, it is better treated as a creative specialty machine than as a production workhorse.
