UCEED 2026 registration, the exam, scorecard download period and joint BDes admission process have all concluded. The joint application closed on April 10, 2026, and the final seat-allotment round was Round V, with acceptance and payment due July 13. The official UCEED FAQ says qualified candidates who missed the joint application deadline would not be considered for IIT admission.

Can you apply for UCEED 2026 now?
No. Regular-fee registration closed on November 5, 2025, and late registration closed on November 10 at 5:00 p.m. The exam was held on January 18, 2026; the published schedule shows no remaining UCEED 2026 registration window.
What happened after the exam?
The UCEED 2026 exam took place on January 18, 2026. The official schedule listed these post-exam milestones:
- January 20: draft answer key and candidate responses released.
- January 28: final Part A answer key released.
- February 5: Part A cutoff announced.
- March 6: results declared.
- March 10 to July 31: scorecards available for download; the period has ended.
The official results page says candidates checked results using their registration login and that obtaining a rank did not guarantee admission to a BDes programme. If you need personal score information, check your candidate login or contact the UCEED-CEED Office; do not assume scorecard downloads remain available.

What a UCEED rank did—and did not—mean
UCEED is the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design. A rank was not, by itself, a BDes offer. Candidates also had to meet the relevant admission eligibility criteria and apply through the appropriate process.

The joint BDes process covered IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. The common application allowed candidates to rank institutes by preference; allocation depended on All India Rank, reservation category, and seat availability.
Did the joint BDes application window close?
Yes. The joint application portal opened on March 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and closed on April 10, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The official UCEED 2026 FAQ states that a qualified candidate who missed the Joint Seat Allocation registration deadline would not be considered for admission in IITs.
The final joint allocation was Round V. Allotments were announced on July 9, and candidates had to accept with the freeze option and pay the seat acceptance fee by July 13 at 6:00 p.m. Those deadlines have passed. Check the candidate portal for your own allotment or payment record; the public schedule does not establish a current payment or appeal window.

Eligibility was not simply having a UCEED rank. The official criteria included an age limit, a UCEED 2026 rank, and passing all five qualifying-exam subjects in Class XII or equivalent in 2025 or 2026. Subject requirements varied by institute:

What if you missed the joint application or final round?
The UCEED 2026 FAQ says candidates who missed the joint application deadline would not be considered for IIT admission. The FAQ also says there are no spot admission rounds at IITs after counselling. It notes that IIITDM Jabalpur may conduct an institutional-level spot round if seats remain vacant; this is conditional, not a guaranteed or currently open route. Verify directly with the institute rather than relying on an assumed opportunity.
The schedule also stated that failure to pay by the applicable deadline or declining an offered seat cancelled the application and removed the candidate from subsequent rounds. It specified no withdrawal or decline option after the last allocation round. The 2026 joint-process deadlines have passed.

Some other institutions considered UCEED scores for 2026–27, but their admissions were not part of IIT Bombay’s joint seat allocation. The official announcement directs candidates to those institutions for application details. Each may have its own application form, eligibility rules, selection process, and deadlines; the joint schedule should not be treated as a shared deadline or proof that an individual route remains open.

No. Registration ended on November 10, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., and the exam was held in January 2026.
Does a UCEED 2026 rank guarantee BDes admission?

The official FAQ says there were no spot admission rounds at IITs after counselling. It notes that IIITDM Jabalpur may hold an institutional-level spot round if seats remain vacant, but that possibility is conditional and should be verified directly with the institute.
Do other institutes use the same BDes deadline?
No shared deadline is established for institutions outside the joint process. Check each institution’s own official admissions information for its application status and requirements.
In short: UCEED 2026 registration and the exam are over, and the joint BDes application and final allocation deadlines have passed. A rank alone did not guarantee admission; use your candidate login for personal status and verify any separate institution’s admissions route directly.
