A KORPRI pin is the small metal badge bearing the emblem of Indonesia’s Korps Pegawai Republik Indonesia (KORPRI). KORPRI stands for Korps Pegawai Republik Indonesia, an organization for Indonesian government employees. It was established on 29 November 1971 under Presidential Decree No. 82 of 1971. The pin, also called a lencana, is the emblem in a reduced, wearable form and serves as an identity marker for civil servants and KORPRI members.
The government-hosted specification describes the lencana as an emblem made of metal and other materials in a gold-yellow color. Its stated dimensions are 1.5 × 2 cm. See the PPID Ministry of Home Affairs-hosted specification.

What does the KORPRI emblem mean?
The emblem brings together a tree, a balairung (a hall or pavilion) and wings. Its details refer both to Indonesia’s independence and to KORPRI’s role.
- Tree: Its 17 branches, 8 limbs and 45 leaves refer to 17 August 1945, Indonesia’s independence date.
- Five-pillar balairung: The building represents a place that unites KORPRI members and helps support stable, democratic government.
- Wings: They represent KORPRI’s service and struggle toward the ideals of independence.

Where does the KORPRI pin go on the uniform?
Wear the lencana on the upper-left chest of the official service uniform or KORPRI uniform. National emblem rules are set out in KEP-09/MUNAS.VIII/XII/2015, while individual institutions may issue more specific uniform directions. For example, the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation published SE-SKJ 2 Tahun 2025 on KORPRI uniform use, dated 31 January 2025. Check your institution’s latest circular for the precise placement and any occasion-specific requirements.

The stated lencana dimensions are 1.5 × 2 cm. The specification calls for a gold-yellow color and construction from metal and other materials. When choosing or checking a badge, compare those details with the official emblem and your institution’s uniform instructions; a generic decorative tree pin is not an equivalent substitute.
