Mutant’s Deb JJ Lee poster for Dune: Part One is a 24 × 36-inch screenprint announced in April 2024 in two limited editions: a nine-color regular print and a ten-color variant. Mutant said the prints would go on sale April 19, 2024; that date has passed, and current availability of either edition is not established.

Lee’s image places Paul on Arrakis, surrounded by imagery that evokes the weight of his fate. That is a description of the poster’s visual effect, not a quoted explanation from Lee. The release was described as the first collaboration between Korean American artist Deb JJ Lee and Mutant.

- OFFICIALLY LICENSED DUNE MERCH
Mutant co-founder Mitch Putnam explained the choice of artist to io9: “Once we got settled over here at Mutant and the Dune license came in, we knew that would be perfect for them.” Putnam also said, “Their work is cinematic on a level that few can match.” Those are the company co-founder’s views on the collaboration, rather than an independent assessment.
Regular and variant editions compared
| Edition | Dimensions | Screenprint colors | Edition size | Price when announced |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regular | 24 × 36 inches | 9 | 215 prints | $70 |
| Variant | 24 × 36 inches | 10 | 115 prints | $100 |
The variant adds one screenprint color, was issued in a smaller quantity, and was listed at a higher price. These are the release details reported in 2024, not current resale prices or evidence of present stock. io9’s announcement coverage reported both editions’ specifications and original prices.

When it went on sale—and what is known now
Mutant announced a sale time of 1 p.m. ET on Friday, April 19, 2024, at MadebyMutant.com. This was a historical sale window, not an upcoming release. Mutant’s archive lists later Dune: Part Two posters as sold out, but that does not establish whether Lee’s Dune: Part One print can currently be purchased. The reviewed archive does not settle the availability of this specific edition. Mutant’s archive is the company’s catalog of past releases.
Framing a 24 × 36-inch print
A frame with a nominal 24 × 36-inch size is a plausible match for either edition. Before buying one, check its usable opening and mounting method against the print; the announced dimensions alone do not confirm how a particular frame will hold it.
