Best for: Browser editing when you need to open or save PSD files and work with layers, masks or familiar adjustment tools.
Photopea says it runs in a browser and supports opening and saving PSD files. Its listed tools include layers, masks, layer styles, smart objects, adjustment layers, channels, paths, Levels, Curves, Liquify and Puppet Warp. It also lists support for image and document formats including PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG, PDF, AI, AVIF, HEIC, TIFF and several camera RAW formats.
Photopea says files are processed on the user’s device rather than uploaded. Treat that as the vendor’s description of its workflow, not as an independently audited privacy finding.

PSD support does not establish that every complex file will look or behave identically to Photoshop. Test a copy of an important document, especially if its appearance or editability depends on particular fonts, effects, smart objects or other features.

Canva is a design-oriented option rather than a full Photoshop substitute.
