Stripemania was described in 2007 as a web tool for making striped background images, with controls for stripe width, height, shape, and gradient color. That account is historical: whether the original tool still works, and what it offers today, is unverified. If you need a stripe generator now, a separate current option is ImageOnline’s Stripe Pattern Generator.
What was Stripemania?
A Japanese-language post published on September 12, 2007, called the tool “Stripemania – Striped background generator” and described it as an easy way to make a Web 2.0-style striped background online. The post reported that users could choose stripe width, height, stripe shape, and gradient color. Read the 2007 description.

How can you make a striped background now?
ImageOnline’s Stripe Pattern Generator is a separate, current example; its features should not be attributed to Stripemania. The page describes controls for horizontal, vertical, or diagonal stripes, custom canvas dimensions up to 4096 × 4096 pixels, stripe width, up to six colors, and a transparent background. It offers PNG, JPG, and WebP downloads and says pattern generation happens in the browser without uploading the pattern settings. See ImageOnline’s generator.
Check whether the pattern will repeat
If you need a seamless repeating background, direction matters in ImageOnline’s tool: horizontal and vertical patterns snap to complete cycles, but the 45-degree diagonal pattern is not promised to repeat seamlessly. Check the exported image in the context where you plan to use it before building a larger design around it.

Compare the controls you actually need
- Orientation: Check whether the generator supports horizontal, vertical, or angled stripes.
- Stripe and color controls: Look for the width and color-sequence options your design requires.
- Canvas and file type: Confirm the maximum dimensions and whether the tool exports a format you can use.
- Transparency: Verify whether the background can be transparent if you need to layer the pattern.
- Repeat behavior: Test the chosen angle for visible seams before using it as a tile.
- Processing: Check whether the tool works in the browser or requires uploading an image or settings.
These are useful comparison points for current generators; they do not establish Stripemania’s present capabilities.

There is not enough evidence to say whether the original Stripemania service remains available, who owns it now, or what license or terms applied to its outputs. The 2007 post does not settle those questions. Do not assume that an old description establishes permission for commercial use or that a current page using the same name is the same service.
