June weddings can draw on a wide range of flowers, including peonies, roses, sweet peas, delphinium, iris, and hydrangeas. But there is no universal June flower list: availability changes with region, growing conditions, and the exact date. Ask a local florist what is likely to be in good condition for your wedding, and agree on suitable alternatives for any must-have bloom.

Which flowers may be available for a June wedding?

June can bridge spring and summer, so a florist’s local growing season matters more than a generic calendar. These flowers are useful starting points for a conversation, not guarantees of availability.

Flower or group What seasonal guides say Planning note
Peonies A Connecticut grower-florist guide includes peonies among its June flowers; a UK guide describes June as a peak month. Another seasonal guide places their peak in late May and early June. Connecticut grower-florist; UK wedding guide; seasonal wedding-flower guide. The window can be short; check the exact wedding date with your florist. Garden roses may offer a similar lush look over a longer season, according to the seasonal guide.
Roses and garden roses Roses appear in Connecticut and UK June or summer guidance, as well as a summer flower list. Connecticut grower-florist; UK wedding guide; Teleflora summer list. Ask which varieties and colors can be sourced for your date; a seasonal listing does not establish local supply.
Sweet peas, delphinium, and iris These appear across regional June or summer lists. A Connecticut guide specifically includes sweet peas in its late-June list; its June list includes delphinium and iris. Connecticut grower-florist; UK wedding guide; Teleflora summer list. Discuss their role in the design: a florist can advise whether a flower’s form, height, or fragrance suits a bouquet, centerpiece, or larger installation.
Hydrangeas and other garden flowers Hydrangeas are listed in UK and summer guidance. Other regional suggestions include foxgloves, stock, larkspur, feverfew, calendula, snapdragons, viburnum, astrantia, and daisies. UK wedding guide; Teleflora summer list; Connecticut grower-florist; UK seasonal flower guide. Use these lists to explore shape and texture, then confirm what is available near your venue.

For example, a Connecticut grower-florist’s June list includes peonies, iris, anemones, ranunculus, roses, delphinium, and flowering branches; its late-June list adds flowers such as stock, larkspur, calendula, dill, snapdragons, and sweet peas. That is regional grower guidance, not a calendar for every location. A flower may peak earlier in southern France than in northern regions, another reminder that geography and local conditions affect timing. Connecticut grower-florist; French seasonal guide.

  • ❤️Note: As these flowers are handmade, please understand that the sizes may vary slightly and there may be minor color differences between different dye lots.
  • Local availability: Ask what is likely to be obtainable in good condition for your exact location and wedding date.
  • Color: Match the flowers to your palette, while allowing for the shades that can actually be sourced.
  • Form and texture: Consider flower size, height, and shape alongside the overall arrangement style.
  • Fragrance: Decide whether scent is welcome, especially for flowers used close to guests.
  • Use: A flower that suits a bouquet may not be the best fit for a centerpiece or a large installation; ask the florist how it will perform in each design.
  • Sourcing: Find out whether your florist can obtain the flowers you want and what alternatives are available.

Seasonal listings identify possibilities, not dependable cross-region price differences. Ask for a quote based on your design and locally available flowers rather than assuming that a seasonal choice will reduce the cost.

What to tell your florist

Give your florist enough detail to judge both availability and design. Wedding guides recommend sharing your palette and overall style; a regional French guide also suggests providing venue photographs and ceremony timing. UK wedding guide; French seasonal guide.
