Dream by WOMBO turns a written prompt into an AI-generated image: enter a description, choose an art style, and generate. The service is listed for iPhone and iPad and Android, and WOMBO also offers a web app. Store listings advertise additional editing and image or video features, but availability can vary by platform and version.
What is Dream by WOMBO?
Dream by WOMBO is a digital AI-art service developed by Wombo Studios Inc. Its basic documented workflow is to describe an image in a prompt, select an art style, and generate an image. “Paint with words” is an approachable description of that process, not a claim that the app is a conventional painting tool.
WOMBO’s product page describes the process as entering a prompt, picking an art style, and getting an AI-powered painting. The Google Play listing gives example prompts such as “Cosmic Dragon” and “Neon City,” and describes styles including realistic, anime, fantasy, cartoon, and avatar. These are publisher descriptions, not independent assessments of image quality.

How the “paint with words” process works
- Enter a prompt describing the subject or scene.
- Select an available art style.
- Generate the image, then save or share it using the features available in your app or browser.
The official product description presents a prompt-and-style workflow. The sources reviewed do not explain the technical model in enough detail to support claims about how it works internally or how quickly every image will generate.

How to create an image in Dream
- Install WOMBO Dream from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or open Dream’s web app.
- Enter a prompt describing the image you want.
- Choose an available art style.
- Generate the image.
- Save or share it using the controls available in your version.
Store listings and features can change, and access may vary by device and region. Check the current storefront or product page for availability. WOMBO’s help information has described different aspect-ratio options on mobile and noted that the web app did not support them at the time that information was reviewed; check the current controls in your version.
How to write better Dream prompts
A useful starting structure is:
Subject + environment + composition + mood or lighting + visual style
- “A red fox sitting in a snowy forest at dawn, cinematic lighting, oil painting.”
- “A floating library above the clouds, surreal fantasy illustration, warm gold and blue.”
- “A robot gardener tending tomatoes on Mars, detailed concept art, wide composition.”
- “A coastal lighthouse during a thunderstorm, dramatic watercolor, dark blue palette.”
Put the main subject near the beginning, start with one clear idea, and add context rather than a long list of unrelated scenes. Style terms provide direction, not a guarantee. Try variations if the first result does not match your idea.

What Dream is good at—and where it struggles
The prompt-and-style workflow can suit quick visual exploration and personal creative projects, including:
- fantasy scenes and surreal landscapes;
- abstract or mood-driven artwork;
- decorative images and wallpapers;
- character and concept-art ideas;
- social-media visuals and personal projects;
- visual brainstorming.
Dream’s listings describe a range of possible uses, but the sources reviewed do not provide an independent study of its image quality or reliability. Treat outputs as drafts to review, not guaranteed production-ready assets.
The product may not provide the precise composition, typography, layers, or revision controls needed for a particular project. Check the available tools in your version before relying on them for a detailed workflow.

Is Dream free?
Dream is free to install in the U.S. storefronts, but the listings indicate in-app purchases and premium offers. Apple’s U.S. App Store listing displayed sample Dream Premium prices of $6.99 weekly, $9.99 monthly, and $89.99 yearly when checked on October 7, 2026 (Apple App Store, 2026). These are storefront examples, not a universal price schedule; check your own app store or web checkout for current terms. WOMBO’s FAQ says a lifetime plan may be available through the web app.
Subscription cancellation and refunds
WOMBO says mobile subscriptions are canceled through the app store used for purchase, while web subscriptions are canceled through the web app. See WOMBO’s cancellation instructions. Deleting the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription.
Mobile refund requests go through Apple or Google; web purchase refund requests go to WOMBO support. WOMBO’s posted refund policy says a refund is eligible only if no art was generated using Premium during the subscription period. Review the refund guidance and current policy for the purchase channel and terms that apply to you.
Privacy, ownership, and commercial use
WOMBO’s commercial-use guidance says generated images can be shared for personal, entertainment, or educational purposes. For commercial use, it says users should credit or attribute WOMBO for generating the output. This is the company’s guidance; it is not a broad guarantee of copyright ownership, exclusivity, or legal treatment in every jurisdiction. Review the Dream terms of service and applicable rules before using an image commercially.

Store privacy summaries are developer disclosures, not independent audits. Google Play reports that data may include personal information and app activity, that data is encrypted in transit, and that users can request deletion. Apple’s privacy labels list potentially collected data categories and state that the information is supplied by the developer and not verified by Apple. Review the store disclosures and privacy policy before uploading private photographs, confidential documents, or client assets.

Consider it for: visual ideation, decorative personal images, wallpapers, character concepts, gifts, and lightweight social content.
Use extra review or another workflow for: exact product mockups, technical or medical diagrams, consistent characters, brand assets with precise typography, confidential material, or commercial work that needs clearly established provenance and rights.
