Free congratulations graphics are available as PNGs, vector files such as SVG, and PSDs, but the formats, transparency, dimensions and usage rights vary by individual design. Check the specific asset listing before downloading—especially if you plan to use the artwork in a public or commercial project.
Choose the format that fits your project
Use the file type that suits your workflow, and confirm that the exact listing includes it. A broad category page may show a mixture of formats rather than offering every format for every design.
| Format | What the listings establish | Check before downloading |
|---|---|---|
| PNG | PNG is offered as a ready-to-place image in the reviewed examples. Some PNGs have transparent backgrounds. | Verify that the individual file is transparent and large enough for your intended output. |
| SVG or other vector | Vexels and Icons8 list vector options, including SVG. | Confirm the exact vector format offered and that it works with your design software. |
| PSD | PNGTree and Icons8 list PSD options for some designs. | Check that the specific download includes a PSD; do not assume every design is editable in that format. |
How to verify transparency and size
A transparent background lets the artwork sit over a colored, photographic or designed surface without a solid rectangle behind it. Transparency and image dimensions belong to the individual file, not to every item in a congratulations collection.
For example, the Pearly Arts listing says, “The Congrats Banner Clipart comes as a PNG file with a transparent background.” It specifies 1001 by 1000 pixels and presents greeting-card and print uses. That is one asset’s specification, not a standard size for congratulations graphics. See the Pearly Arts listing.
- Look for an explicit transparent-background description on the asset page.
- Check the pixel dimensions for a raster file and consider the size at which you will place or print it.
- If the design is meant for print, check the listing’s intended-use information and make sure its file size and dimensions suit your layout.

- Pearly Arts lists a transparent PNG banner at 1001 by 1000 pixels, with greeting-card and print uses.
- PNGTree lists a congratulations lettering example in PNG and PSD formats.
- Vexels lists congratulations designs in PNG and SVG, with both free and premium entries.
- Icons8 lists a lettering illustration in PNG, SVG and PSD, and suggests uses such as cards, certificates, awards, invitations, banners and social posts.
- FreeIconsPNG has individual listings with image-specific usage labels and attribution requests.
Check the license before using a download
“Free download” does not by itself grant permission for every use. Terms differ even among free listings, so check the license for the exact image and the way you plan to use it.
- PNGTree says its featured image is protected by copyright, requires license authorization for commercial use, and requires credit to the author and source under its free license. Review the PNGTree listing and its terms.
- A FreeIconsPNG example is marked “Personal Use Only” and asks for attribution on a website. Read the terms attached to the particular image rather than applying that label to every listing. Check the FreeIconsPNG example.
- Pearly Arts says its banner can be used personally and commercially, is royalty-free and does not require credit, while directing commercial users to review its license page. Check Pearly Arts’ license information.
Before placing an image in a client design, product, advertisement or other commercial work, confirm whether the license permits that use and whether attribution or other conditions apply. If a listing’s terms are unclear, choose an asset with terms that clearly cover your project.

Ideas for using a congratulations graphic
Depending on the file’s license and quality, a congratulations design can be placed in a greeting card, certificate, invitation, banner, presentation or social media graphic. For print projects, check the asset dimensions against the space where it will appear; a small raster image may not suit a large printed design. A printable blank greeting card can provide a place to add a downloaded graphic, but paper and printer suitability depend on your own setup.
