The GO! Baby Fabric Cutter Starter Set is a manual quilting-fabric cutter bundle built around one reusable die system. It includes the cutter, a three-shape die, a 6 × 12-inch cutting mat, and a small pattern book—not extra dies or fabric. AccuQuilt’s current US store calls the product the “GO! Fabric Cutter Starter Set” (model 55100H), while its onboarding page uses the “GO! Baby Fabric Cutter Starter Set” name.

The included die cuts three shapes: a 4½-inch square (4 inches finished), a 2½-inch square (2 inches finished), and a half-square triangle that finishes at 2 inches, producing two pieces. “Finished” describes the measurement after piecing with seam allowances; the cut pieces are larger. Fabric and other dies are not listed as included. AccuQuilt’s US product listing
How does the cutter work?
This is a hand-operated roller cutter. You place the die foam-side up, position fabric over the blade shapes you want, then put a properly sized cutting mat on top. Feed the stack against the roller and turn the handle. The blades cut the fabric as the stack passes through the rollers.
#1 Best Overall
- Cuts up to 4 layers of cotton fabric in seconds
- Starter set includes: go! baby fabric cutter, (2) 6"x6" dies, a 6"x6" mat and idea book
- Not compatible with 10"x10" or 10"x24" go! dies
- Choose a GO! die and a compatible cutting mat of the correct size.
- Place the die foam-side up, and cover only the shapes you intend to cut.
- Lay the cutting mat over the fabric and die.
- Feed the stack squarely into the roller and turn the handle to pass it through.
- Check the cut, then repeat as needed. Start with fewer fabric layers and increase only within AccuQuilt’s guidance for that material.
AccuQuilt advises aligning fabric on the lengthwise grain, practicing with scraps, and making a test cut before cutting a larger batch. Precutting strips about ½ inch wider than the target shape can help with placement and reduce excess fabric. Always use a cutting mat, keep fingers clear of the rollers, and use only GO! cutting dies. Do not add extra mats, fabric, or shims beneath a die. GO! Cutter manual
How many fabric layers can it cut?
AccuQuilt says the cutter handles up to six layers of 100% cotton. Its material guidance gives lower limits for some fabrics; these are manufacturer recommendations, not independent test results. Thickness and construction can affect a cut, so test scraps and follow the guidance for the fabric and die.

GO! Big dies do not fit this cutter, and AccuQuilt’s FAQ says GO! and Studio dies are not interchangeable. The shared brand name is not enough to establish compatibility. Supported board sizes and GO! die count; AccuQuilt FAQ
What should owners know about mats, storage, and replacement?
Cutting mats wear with use. AccuQuilt’s FAQ describes their life as hundreds of cuts on both sides; rotating and flipping a mat can extend its use, while inconsistent cuts are a sign to replace it. Extensive blade designs, including rag dies, wear mats faster. The FAQ also says the GO! fabric cutter has no replacement parts, so the cutter itself is not described as a repairable, parts-supported tool. AccuQuilt FAQ

The bundle is most useful if you want repeatable cuts from the included shapes and expect to use more dies from the GO! system. Its value depends partly on which future shapes you need: the cutter is the entry point, while additional dies and replacement mats are separate ecosystem purchases.

- QUILTING-FOCUSED WORKFLOWS: Designed for piecing, strip cutting, and applique prep across cottons, blends, and similar quilting fabrics. Suitable for home studios and classroom settings where multiple identical cuts are needed for patterns
- GO! SYSTEM READY: Works within the AccuQuilt GO! ecosystem of dies and cutting mats for coordinated use. Compatibility with GO!-format accessories enables streamlined selection of block sizes, strips, and applique designs
- Consider it if: you routinely cut the same quilting shapes, want a manual roller workflow, and expect the included die or compatible GO! dies to suit your projects.
- Check carefully if: your plans depend on GO! Big or Studio dies, or on cutting thick and specialty materials. Compatibility and layer guidance vary, and the manufacturer’s maximums should not replace test cuts.
- Account for ownership needs: mats are wear items, and AccuQuilt says the cutter has no replacement parts.
AccuQuilt’s US direct listing displayed a special price of $329.99 against a regular price of $379.99 when checked for this article; store prices can change. The company says it sells through its direct store and GO! Authorized Retailers and distributors. Its product page also makes the claim that the cutter is “90% faster than rotary cutters or scissors”; it provides no method or named study for that comparison, so treat it as a vendor claim rather than an independently established performance figure.
