The City of Joondalup’s Jack Bromell mini-mural trail is a documented 2024 public-art project featuring eight stamp-like murals of native fauna. The City paired the physical artworks with QR codes, further information and a map; however, its later material does not confirm that all eight works or the original route are still available.
What is the Joondalup mini-mural trail?
In 2024, the City of Joondalup reported launching a City Centre art trail of eight mini murals by Western Australian artist Jack Bromell, installed in collaboration with local City Centre business owners. The City described the works as resembling large postage stamps and featuring native fauna found throughout Joondalup. The City’s Corporate Business Plan 2024–2028 Quarter 1 Report records the project and its design.
How did the trail work?
The City described an experience that brought digital information together with the physical murals. QR codes linked visitors to more information and a map to follow, and the launch included conversations with the artist. The City held a guided celebration tour on 22 September 2024 during biodiversity month. The report documents that event and the QR-code concept; it does not establish that the codes or map remain active today.
Can you still visit all eight murals?
The City’s 2024 report and quarterly plan reporting confirm that the trail was delivered. A City newsletter published in October 2025 later mentioned a resident enjoying Bromell’s murals in Central Walk. That is evidence of a later mention in that area, but it is not a current inventory of all eight works or confirmation that the original route remains intact. The exact present-day locations, access conditions and any closures are not established in those sources.

Don’t confuse the trail with another Bromell mural
The mini-mural trail is separate from Rhythm of the Lake, a single Jack Bromell mural listed by the City’s Mural Arts Program in 2021. The City’s older plan reporting places that work at the Central Park South toilet block. It is not one of the eight City Centre mini murals.
