The LaserPecker LP4 pairs a 10W blue diode laser with a 2W infrared laser, letting it address different material categories from one compact machine. Its standard work area is 160 × 120 mm; the optional Slide Extension increases that to 160 × 300 mm. It may suit makers with varied small projects, but the listed material compatibility and maximum speed do not establish how well it performs on a particular job. LaserPecker’s published specifications are useful for assessing fit; independent hands-on results for engraving quality, reliability and setup are not established here.
What the LP4 is—and what its two lasers mean
LaserPecker describes the LP4 as a portable dual-laser engraver. It combines a 10W, 450 nm blue diode source and a 2W, 1064 nm infrared source. The manufacturer lists the two sources for different material use cases; this is not a promise that every listed material will engrave equally well or with the same ease. Its guide says users select the source according to the material, and that the two lasers cannot operate simultaneously. For a painter or other maker, the practical appeal is having two source types available without buying separate machines for every material category. The trade-off is that the machine’s suitability still depends on the actual material, the job dimensions and the settings required. Treat the manufacturer’s material list as a starting point for checking a specific project, not as a quality guarantee.
Work area: measure the project before choosing
The standard stated working area is 160 × 120 mm. With the Slide Extension, LaserPecker lists an area of 160 × 300 mm. That extension is most relevant if the item or design exceeds the standard dimensions; neither figure makes the LP4 a large-format machine. Check the usable area against the full object and artwork dimensions before buying, including any need to reposition or process a longer piece in stages. Materials and speed: specifications are not job guarantees
LaserPecker’s FAQ lists material categories across the LP4’s two sources, including wood, leather, paper, fabric, dark or opaque acrylic, coated metals, metals and plastics. The FAQ does not mean every material within those broad categories will produce the same result. Material formulation, surface treatment and the machine’s settings all matter; the manufacturer’s guide advises adjusting recommended parameters to the engraving environment, material and actual conditions. The product page quotes a maximum working speed of up to 4,000 mm/s and a preview speed of 16,000 mm/s. These are manufacturer-listed maxima, not expected completion speeds for every engraving. LaserPecker’s FAQ says actual working speed varies with file format, image resolution, power and depth settings. A buyer should therefore assess the machine by its material and project fit rather than assuming a job will run at the headline maximum.

Software, devices and connections
LaserPecker lists LaserPecker Design Space and LightBurn as supported software. Its product page specifies Bluetooth 5.0 for mobile and USB or Bluetooth with a dongle for PC. The FAQ lists iOS 9.0 and Android 7.0 for mobile, and macOS 10 and Windows 10 for PC. LaserPecker says the package includes a safety shield and goggles intended to protect against its 450 nm and 1064 nm sources. That is the manufacturer’s product statement, not an independent safety assessment. Follow the current manual and safety instructions, use the specified protective equipment, and assess smoke-management and enclosure needs for the material and workspace. The US store lists a Safety Enclosure and Air Purifier as LP4 accessories, but an accessory by itself does not establish that a particular setup or use condition is safe.
