LG H&H announced Imprintu as a portable, mobile-connected printer for temporary tattoos—not a needle-based machine for permanent tattooing. The available report described plans for a South Korea and U.S. launch in the second half of 2023, but it does not confirm that launch happened or establish whether Imprintu is sold today.
What is LG Imprintu?
Imprintu is the product name reported for LG Household & Health Care’s portable temporary tattoo printer. The announced workflow connects the device to a mobile device so users can select an image to print. Gizmochina’s February 24, 2023 report also described printing on clothing as a use case; these are announcement-era claims, not independently tested results.

Despite the report’s headline calling it a “tattoo machine,” Imprintu was presented as a temporary-printing product. It should not be confused with equipment that uses needles to apply permanent tattoos.
What features did LG report?
- Print resolution: Gizmochina reported a 600-dpi specification for Imprintu. This is a reported product claim, not an independent test result.
- Readiness: The same report said it takes two to three seconds to get ready to print; that timing is attributed to the announcement-era account.
- Wear duration and ink: LG H&H described the ink as vegan and safe and said a printed design could last around a day, as reported by Gizmochina. The report does not provide independent verification of skin safety or wear duration.
These details come from a secondary report of the 2023 announcement, rather than a current product page or manual. Read Gizmochina’s February 24, 2023 report.

- ENJOY VIVID & LONG LASTING COLORS: 600 DPI printing makes tattoos last up to 24 hours on your skin while staying clean and bold. Apply the powder primer and balm fixer to make tattoos last for 1–3 days.
- FEEL SAFE, CLEAN EASILY: Made with 100% vegan cosmetic ink that's safe and gentle on all skin types. Washes off easily with soap or cleanser and no scrubbing needed.
- TAKE IT ANYWHERE, USE IT ANYTIME: Up to 4 hours of use on a single charge with this portable printer allows you to use it anywhere. With Skin Mode, you can print on skin, and Object Mode works on all ink-absorbent surfaces like stationery & clothing.
- USE IT SMART AND STAY SAFE : Don't press down in Skin Mode. Gently slide the printer across your skin. Make sure not to use it on skin in Object Mode. Using Object Mode on skin may cause print smearing and burns on the skin.
- CHOOSE OR CREATE YOUR OWN DESIGN: 10,000+ qualified templates are available in the app, or upload your own images to customize your design. Compatible with iOS and Android via Bluetooth, so you can design and print anytime.
Can you buy LG Imprintu now?
Current sale status is unverified. Gizmochina reported a planned launch in the second half of 2023, initially in South Korea and the United States, but that plan does not establish that the launch took place. The available information does not confirm present-day availability, price, retailer stock, compatible media, or consumable model numbers.
If looking for it in a store or marketplace, “temporary tattoo printer” is the broader category phrase and “LG Imprintu tattoo printer” is a more specific search. A listing alone would not establish compatibility or whether it is an authorized, currently supported product.

Is it right for a temporary design?
The announcement describes a printer intended for temporary designs on skin, with clothing also reported as a use case. The evidence does not establish how the device performs in practice, what surfaces or materials are compatible, or whether its ink is suitable for a particular person’s skin. Anyone considering a skin-applied product should look for current manufacturer instructions and safety documentation before use.
Imprintu is not a substitute for professional permanent tattooing: its stated purpose is temporary printing, and the reported wear time was around a day.
