Ruby Reds is a fruit-and-vegetable powder sold under the New Vitality name by Healthy Directions. Its label lists plant ingredients alongside vitamins, minerals, probiotics and enzymes. The name can also refer to Rio Grande Valley grapefruit, but the product details below are for the supplement.

Healthy Directions lists Ruby Reds as a New Vitality dietary supplement in powder form. The product page describes a serving as one rounded scoop and provides directions for mixing it into a beverage. The name is not unique: “Texas Ruby Reds” has also been used for grapefruit from the Rio Grande Valley, so check that you have the supplement if that is what you meant to find.

What ingredients and nutrition does the label list?
The product label lists tomato, carrot, raspberry, acerola and sour cherry, as well as a proprietary fruit-and-vegetable blend, a probiotic blend, an enzyme blend, and other plant ingredients and nutrients. Because some ingredients are grouped into blends, the page does not give quantities for every individual component.
Healthy Directions’ product page lists the following amounts per rounded scoop (10.314 g). These are label declarations; the page does not provide a publication date for the label.

The label identifies soy as an allergen. Other listed ingredients include maltodextrin, natural flavors and stevia-derived rebaudioside A. Ruby Reds should not be described as allergen-free or sugar-free, or as a replacement for whole fruits and vegetables.
How does the label say to take Ruby Reds?
Healthy Directions directs adults to stir one rounded scoop into 8 oz of water or another preferred beverage once daily, preferably in the morning. The product page suggests using a shaker or blender to mix it.

What precautions does the label give?
The product page says the supplement is “Only for adults over 18 years.” It gives this additional precaution: “Consult your health care practitioner before use if you are pregnant or nursing, have or suspect a medical condition, or use any medications.” The page also says to stop using the product two weeks before surgery and not to use it if the safety seal is missing. Read the actual package label and consult a qualified healthcare practitioner about whether it is appropriate for your circumstances.
