The Among Us Crewmate is instantly recognizable: a rounded spacesuit silhouette, a single bright visor and, sometimes, a suspicious knife or nearby vent. That simple shape makes a strong jack-o’-lantern, while the game’s impostor attacks, body reports and emergency meetings give more ambitious carvings a story to tell. Among Us pumpkin carving ideas, from simple to story-driven
A good design balances three things: whether the character reads clearly from across the room, how much detail you can cut safely, and what the scene says about the game. A single outline is easiest to recognize; extra characters and props can make a pumpkin feel like a moment from a match.

What makes an Among Us pumpkin recognizable?
The game’s visual shorthand comes from its central tension: Crewmates work together on tasks while Impostors kill, sabotage and use vents. That is why the visor-and-spacesuit outline works on its own, while a knife, bone, vent or emergency-meeting tableau turns a generic space-suited figure into an Among Us scene.

Start with one Crewmate or Ghost
A single character is the clearest beginner option. The large body shape and visor give the face enough contrast without requiring a complicated scene. Choose this approach if you want an easy-to-read Among Us jack-o’-lantern or are new to carving.
Make the Impostor the subject
An Impostor pumpkin can suggest danger with a blade or an exposed-bone detail. Innersloth classifies its Impostor stencil among the harder templates, so it is a better fit if you are comfortable following a more involved pattern than a basic character outline.

Turn the pumpkin into a match scene
For a more narrative carving, arrange characters around an attack, a reported body, a vent or an emergency meeting. The 2021 NerdsChalk fan gallery illustrates this range with ideas including “This calls for an emergency meeting,” “Where to hide?” and “Two Crewmates but whom do you trust?” Multiple figures can make the story richer, but a simpler scene is more likely to remain legible when lit.
Try a playful or unexpected variation
Fan concepts in the same roundup include “The Ghost with a Banana,” “Me and Mini me,” “Straight Outta Watermelon!” and “A futuristic crewmate.” These examples show how a familiar silhouette can be paired with a joke, a smaller companion or an unusual material. The roundup is from 2021, and its image or social links may no longer be available.

Where to find an Among Us pumpkin stencil
Innersloth’s October 15, 2024 post provides six printable templates designed for letter or A4 paper, which can be secured to a pumpkin. The set includes easy Ghost and Crewmate patterns as well as harder Impostor and Seeker options. If you are choosing between designs, begin with the easiest stencil that still gives you the look you want. A clean silhouette suits a smaller pumpkin or a first attempt; a more detailed pattern is worth choosing when you have time to transfer and cut it carefully.

How to carve an Among Us pumpkin
Innersloth’s stencil workflow uses a printed pattern secured to the pumpkin. A pumpkin carving kit with a small saw, scoop and detail tool or drill bit covers the basic cutting and cleanup tasks; an LED light provides illumination. UMA Technology describes those kit components, while Innersloth’s post supplies the stencil workflow.
- Choose and print a template. Select one of Innersloth’s six patterns and print it on letter or A4 paper.
- Prepare the pumpkin. Clear a stable work surface. Remove the top and scoop out the pulp and seeds so the inside is ready for the light.
- Secure the paper pattern. Position the printed stencil on the pumpkin and tape it in place. Keep the design where you can work comfortably and see the outline.
- Transfer the design. Follow the template’s marking or transfer instructions to carry its outline onto the pumpkin before cutting.
- Cut carefully with a small saw. Work slowly along the marked lines, using a detail tool for smaller sections if your kit includes one. Avoid forcing the blade through thin or fragile areas.
- Light the carving. Place an LED light inside and check that the visor and other important shapes read clearly. If a detail is hard to see, simplify the design rather than trying to make a fragile cut narrower.
Carving safety and sharing your finished pumpkin
Innersloth’s safety note is direct: “Just like when wielding an Impostor knife, please be careful when carving your pumpkin. If you’re a Mini Crewmate ask an adult for help!” Children should have an adult handle or closely supervise knife work, and anyone carving should keep the pumpkin stable and cut slowly with the appropriate tool.
