Who is Dina Broadhurst?
Broadhurst is an Australian artist and influencer based in Sydney, according to PerthNow. Her official biography describes an art practice that combines photography, digital and analogue collage, and mixed-media elements. Her collages bring together two-dimensional and three-dimensional components, and her work explores subjects such as desire, sexuality, escapism, memory, fantasy, luxury, and self-presentation. The biography also notes collaborations with fashion, beauty, and retail brands.
How has Broadhurst discussed nudity in her art?
In a 2021 interview with Amber Baker for Remix Magazine, Broadhurst discussed nudity as a recurring element in her art. She said: “Ultimately it’s a sense of freedom, of clothing and style not overtaking the work, of simplicity, of rawness of nature and of being at one with yourself.” The comment offers context for how she has described nudity in her artistic practice; it does not establish the specific intention behind the Atacama travel post.
