Painting can easily become a messy job, and it can often be difficult to keep all of the paint where it is supposed to be without getting any on your clothes, skin, floors, and furniture. Even when you are trying to be really careful while you work, a small amount of paint can still make its way into unwanted places and cause problems.
Nobody wants to ruin any items, furniture, or clothing with unexpected paint spills or splashes, which is why many companies have created their own paint-removal products to help you when it comes to cleaning up. One of the companies is called Goo Gone, and this company has a wide range of removal products available.
Thankfully, there are a few different methods of removing paint, whether it is wet or dry, and there are some Goo Gone products that can help you along the way. We are going to be looking at these products in this article, to give you a better understanding of how they work.

Will Goo Gone Remove Dry Paint?
The original Goo Gone product will not remove dry paint, and it is completely safe for use on painted surfaces. This means that you can remove stains and stickiness without ruining the paint job. However, Goo Gone does also have another product called Latex Paint Clean-Up Spray that will work to remove any unwanted paint messes. As well as this product, you can also get wipes that will work to remove the paint too.
To use this product, you should first remove the unwanted spill by blotting or wiping it with a clean cloth or paper towel. You should then go in and apply the Goo Gone Latex Paint Clean Up directly to the area and allow it a few minutes to start to work. After the recommended amount of time has passed, you should wipe the area clean with a clean cloth, and repeat the process if you find that you need to.
If you are trying to remove paint from your clothes, then you should remove the clothes before you start the process. Apply the removal product to the stained area, and allow some time for the stain to be broken up. You should then launder the clothing as you normally would.

All you need to do to use this product is to unscrew the cap and thread a wipe through the pre-cut slot. Next, you should close the lid and pull the wipe out at an angle to dispense it. You can then use the wipe to wipe down the desired surface to clean it, and then dispose of the wipe.
If you have sensitive skin, it is recommended that you wear household rubber gloves when using this product. You will get 50 wipes per can, and you should avoid prolonged exposure on finished wood and sealed surfaces.
Will Goo Gone Remove Car Paint?

If you do not follow the instructions on the product, then it does have the potential to remove the paint from your car if it is being misused. There are some people that have reported that they were not happy with the results that Goo Gone created, and that it dulled the surface of their car and left marks behind.
It is recommended that due to the mixed results, you should always test the product first, before you go ahead and use it on a large area of your car and end up ruining the paint job. As long as you follow the instructions that are provided, you shouldn’t have any issues, but it is better to be safe than sorry. So, if you don’t want to ruin the appearance of your car, you can test the product on a small part that is not visible to see how it works.
Does Goo Gone Remove Paint From Hardwood Floors?
Goo Gone does remove paint from hardwood floors, and it does a great job. Most paint jobs will require some form of clean up afterwards, and Goo Gone Latex Paint Clean Up Wipes are great for getting into tight areas to remove small amounts of paint or to quickly wipe up any paint splatters.

You can also use the standard Goo Gone paint remover product to remove any bigger stains where wipes just won’t cut it. These products are totally safe to use on hardwood floors, but you should be careful not to expose the wood to the product for longer than the product directions suggest.
