So, basically as for today’s product – “3M” is not necessarily a branded paint manufactured by 3M. It’s micro-glass crystals that catch the light and reflect it back. You may look up at Albedo, Cuekondy or Rust-Oleum products and get the best result by yourself as it works as just the same as any basic spray paint.
First of all, if you’re a jogger or if you’re literally anything that you’re doing at night time and need to be seen more, apparently it does the trick. So lot’s of manufacturers producing these paints and they’re non-permanent and permanent.
Choose wisely for your needs, just remember that non-permanent painted on fabric will apparently come off in the wash.
They also usually have another line that you can use on harder objects like a table, a safety helmet, a bicycle metal frame. All you need to do is choose the right one depends on a surface you wish to paint with reflective paint. Be sure to check markings on a can twice. Here’s the one with sample photos we prefer to use at night. It’s Albedo 100 Reflective Spray.
What to do when you got the one you need? Shake the can vigorously for at least one minute and do the painting. See the effect by taking a photo with flash. It’s just like spray paint, so you’d need to do this outside.
So we’re going to be spraying a sweater. Turn camera flash on after the painting to see the actual result. You can’t really see it through in person.
And here’s the sweater after being sprayed. Here’s the before, and then here’s the after as shown on the left. You can see it does look like it’s a little dusty but other than that it’s pretty clear. It just does look like there’s a very, very thin layer of baby powder.
Alternative Reflective Spray Paint for Shoes and Clothing
That was a review of this reflective spray by Albedo 100. Now the reason why I did this was that it’s just so freaking awesome. It’s a really cool easy to use. And I even didn’t think that this thing exists, like reflective spray. I went to the store to ask the guy for this, he’s like – “I don’t think that exists yet.” I was like – “No, it does. It says it on your website.” Really this is beneficial for joggers, people that bike at night time, even construction workers. That’s a reflective spray.
